If you're unmotivated, quit altogether, or, change your poker style. Problem here, is that, it's hard to break habits, so if you come back, it won't be long until non-motivation kicks in, again.

If you're unmotivated, but know you'd like to try again, read some poker books during your layoff, but don't come back until you know that you have/can retain some of what you've learned, that's different to what you're doing now.

You can also watch some poker videos, and look for similar situations where you acted differently to what the pros did.

Non-motivation is very closely tied to poor results, or results that aren't up to the standards of what you want.

Good luck.

When I get tired of poker, I run and swim in the pool.

I probably won't be original, but if poker is not fun, stop playing for a while. No need to play violently. Do what gives you pleasure at the moment. Maybe after a while the desire to play poker will come. And if not, then quit this business) Not yours means

I usually go to do other things that are more interesting to me. And I go back to the game when I want to play. I am not a professional player.

When I get in motivated to play I will just take a couple days off and spend my time doing other things… come back when your motivation to crush tables returns

It's important to have multiple interests & hobbies. I bounce around a lot. Think summer sports vs. winter sports.

Just because poker is a year-round sport doesn't mean you have to be interested in it year-around!

If I'm tired I just stop playing. A break is the best option in this case. Fatigue can lead to mistakes and loss of money respectively. Losing money will lead to disappointment. A break is the best possible option.

I do not play tired. If I am tired I go to sleep. Tired players significantly increase their chances of loss.

When you feel tired or are sick of the game, then take a break. Let the break be a few hours, a day or a month, whatever you need. Tired players make more mistakes and you obviously want to avoid that.

If I'm tired of the game, I stop play for a while - a couple of days or weeks. But if I see that I'm tired of the game because of bad beats and losing streaks, I try to think about my poker goals and think that I can't give up until I achieve them.

When you get tired of the game, leave table. But most of players not get tired of money.

[FONT=NotoSans, Lato, arial, sans-serif]I think part of reason to get tired is u don't earn enough money than you wish.

Hi.
I play poker in the evenings, after work. I work as a driver and of course sometimes, in the evenings I am very tired. In such cases, I prefer sleep. In my opinion, the game should be fun and that's why I never play if I'm tired.
Good luck.

Oops! I have been going through that situation a couple of months ago, I lost the desire to play and the truth is that I do not know how to feel motivated again. I go into games and after a couple of minutes, I get bored and start bluffing mindlessly. I wanted to share it with you. Hugs

When I play, it's because I'm losing money. But when I'm making money, it's impossible to get tired, because every dollar I make is an extra motivation. In my case, I revert the feeling of tiredness to being motivated by victories in the hands played.

So your question is about the lack of motivation during the game
Interesting question, I haven't thought about that yet, i have already encountered a lack of pre-game motivation.
Watching poker streams can work or other motivational things, maybe listening to music too.

depends on the profile

this issue is very difficult to deal with if each player acts in a way some take a week to rest others face it anyway because they live off it and with time you arrive at a final table to see that you managed to win and the desire to play again

I had a period like this too. I stopped playing for 3 weeks, I didn’t do anything that was in touch with poker, I even didn’t watch any stream. For me it was a good way to get back at the tables with joy and a good feeling

I play just about every day so what works for me is watching videos of the pros then I can get back into the game.

The best solution, and the simplest one is to just stop playing. I tend to get bored every month or do, and it feels so dumb to play when yoi dont wanna.

The Big Game

If you win at poker by losing too much sooner it's just that the day you win you can come first to recoup your spending and make some profit to keep playing:D

Just take a week or so off. Just do some HH review or something to keep the fix but after some time away you feel fired up to go again. GLGL
