If I am feeling unmotivated playing poker then I just don't play. I'm not sure why anyone would play poker when they are not feeling motivated to play. I feel like you are just throwing your buy-in away and wasting time. Better to take a break and go back to it when you are motivated.

stop playing for a few days, and if you're really a poker lover you'll find that motivation is back in full swing!

Hello. If tired of the game means loss of total interest, maybe a break away and finding something to read or watch or both that interests you about the game to get that interest back and then come back with vengence.

If you are no longer interested because you are losing more than winning, look at online as a very different poker game. Do not look at just winning against the villain, but look out for software algorithms thaat eliminate players. Learn what they do and watch for those. Those algos are the ones that usually gets a "I've seen that a million times" reaction.

For example, if two people make a huge raise before you, and you have a pair of aces, bet as small as possible to see the flop. The flop will usually spell it out. Three of the same suit, a straight formation, a pair, etc. If you are the chosen one, it will be a rainbow with an ace. In most cases, when you see two or more raising before you AND you have a lesser bank, it may be hard, but online it's best to fold and watch the action. There will be a good hand at the right time later. This is another reason why one should not bet out of turn or at least not throw most of their bank in. Quick way to lose.Learned through experience.

So, unfortunately, some believe their play style and winnings are what they are because of their skills online. That is, one may think their "bad luck" is because of theirself and then lose interest in the game. A sad thing because we are playing two different worlds of Holdem. Your skills at a real table will prove to be better than online.

Playing online CardsChat tournaments takes real skill. You are up against folks who have played for many years. You are playing online poker that has algos that will eliminate you at the drop of a hat and you are having to wait for the right moment with the right cards. That takes patience, sometimes lots.

To me, this is why people lose their money online. Take this information and use it online. Beware of the two player raise and the player who continuously bets on a junk flop. Watch out for aggressive players with a larger bank.

Now if ya really want to play true Holdem, take it to the tables and surprise yourself with the skills you have learned online which is tougher!~

So, good luck, do not lose interest, and have a great time at the tables!

Saddle up.

I stop playing, no point in fighting it. Go clean house or work on something that buts you in a great mood. Do something nice for your significant other. No point in both being down, maybe that will lift your spirits as well. It may take a few few days to get the right mood back. Never rush it, you are just asking for trouble.

If you do not have motivation and the game does not bring you pleasure, but only disappointment, then it is definitely necessary to take a break until the desire to play appears.

for me poker is a sport that I always like to play, it does not tire me, nor demotivates me, on the contrary, every time I play and study with more depth I realize that I love it much more, of course you have to have schedules to play poker and not fall into stress and boredom, like everything in life you have to give it your time and nothing more, good luck to everyone at the tables and always be at 100% for the results to be positive.

go back to positive reinforcement,

If you are tired of poker, try something low-risk, high-reward. If you enjoy reading, try and pick up a book, or find a free library on the internet.
Or something physical you are fairly successful or have fun playing. Golf, for example. Or bowling, swimming, ice skating, etc.

Main idea is to do something you enjoy, the final score is not important or necessary.

Shift gears when the game gets stale and your interests start to fade. Shifting gears can mean many different things to different players, you have to find out what works best for you. Try to prevent the issue rather than trying to fix the problem once it occurs.

Take your time, relax a bit, rethink your way of playing and when you see a new way to have fun, come back and enjoy.
That's my way!

There are days when your poker game does not go well, you feel that it is useless to play today, today is not your day, you need to quit playing, turn on music or an interesting movie and enjoy life, and continue playing in 2-3 days.

Coffee, the answer to almost everything is going to be coffee. :joyman::joyman::joyman::D (in relation to the technical part, it's a cycle as they said above)

Take a break! There is nothing worse than playing Poker when you don't want too, if your Heart isn't in the game, there really is no point in playing, because you are not going to win.
I am on a break right now, because I am getting prepared for Christmas with last minute shopping and other preparations etc. So Poker is on the back burner, But in the word's of The Terminator "I'll Be Back" to play more in the New Year and start to enjoy my game again.
There is nothing wrong in taking time off from anything we do in Life, and Poker is just a game, we can play when we feel like it.
Good Luck to everyone, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

When the fun Stops, STOP!

Unless you do poker for a living

Then, don't play for some time.

You're supposed to enjoy playing poker.

I simply don't play for some time. I play only for fun, not for money, so it would not make sense to play when I don't feel like playing.

why play if you don't feel like it? Poker is a game and if it's not fun then don't play. But I am assuming that you like poker and are probably going through a bad time. Cheer up and think drann that there will be better times again. Take a break for as long as you need it. For some, a few hours are enough, others take weeks. If you're not earning your income playing poker then take some real time off. Do something that you enjoy, something that has absolutely nothing to do with poker. But if you only have this feeling because you've lost too much and too often then you should probably read a few books about poker.

When I'm unmotivated to play I don't play.
Apparently this is logical. If I'm tired I go to sleep. :)
