What do you do when you're in Tilt?

This is not something I would recomment but just for entertainment, when its truly tilt situation lets say AA preflop allin and 20 players left that would potentially give me an upper hand in the tournament and I got busted then, I would probably just go for a special meal and make myself feel better Lol, otherwise ill just take one on the chin accept it and move on LOL. Just focus on the next game!

When you sit down to play, it quickly becomes clear what kind of day you're having.
I usually know within half an hour if it makes sense to stay inside or 'it's not that day'.
If you are on tilt, you better stop and look for something else. Maybe tomorrow you will be luckier.

I think always about the long run
("volume is the key" and of course decent play)
especially in tourneys
but also in cash games (10k hands is nothing)
just bring yourself often enough in good spots (for instance FT bubble and ev+ moves)
and you will "help your luck"

It has happened to me too, losing all my bankroll, what I do is spend time with my family, watch a movie.

After a few losses (due to moving) I close everything and then I think "Well, if I won this hand, I would get into the prize or the final, etc." If this happens 2-3 days in a row, I just take all the money from the card and start again in a week, and so on and so forth.

What suits one does not always suit another. How strange, but you can only overcome til by playing. I overcome tilt by starting to play a little and if I see that nothing is adding up, then I quit this game until tomorrow. At that time I switch to business or computer games, they really help to forget poker. And so on until it's all gone.

The game is not easy for many times we lose and we get frustrated many times even when we think we are "better" than our villain but on days like this the best thing to do is to leave the game and do another activity, I recommend studying the game and think where you are going wrong in your game so that in the future you come back stronger and beat your opponents

It is obviuos, that the main thing to do, when you are in tilt is to stop being in tilt

. But of course it's not that simple. So I found for myself, that more reasonable would be trying not to start tilting. And I found that when I play and analyze what happening on the table aloud (not jsut in my head), then it becomes more natural when something is going wrong, I just understand that it can happen before in actually happens. It seems like it happens not to me personally, but to the game. As an example - when you are watching a someone's stream and they make difficult descision and before that they analyze that here we can lose etc, and then they really lose, you are not tilting right? Because you see it from the different perspective and when you are analyzing your game aloud then it becomes like so too.

I don't know if it makes any sense for someone, but I really found that usefull. My main thought that better not to start tilting, then trying to calm yourself down. Cheers ✌️

It is obvious that in this situation we need to stop playing. We need to take a break and calm down. But the problem is that the player loses control over himself and can't stop. Otherwise, all players would always stop and calm down. And this problem would not exist. All players have different personalities, so it's easy for some to stop, and some people can't. We need to work on our psychology!!!

I have never lost my entire Bankroll, to do so is like breaking an unwritten rule "Never bet more than you are willing to lose".
I have bought into games and even before I touch a card I say to myself "That money is dead and gone" or "That money is not mine, It is part of the Prize pool" It is my job then to try and win as much as I possibly can, and generally speaking you cannot possibly win it all as some will go to other places 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc.
So I play as good as I can, and if I make the money, I am satisfied, I tried my best, If I win then sure I am ecstatic, being in 1st place is everyone's intention, but don't knock yourself out if you only finish 2nd or 3rd you must surely have doubled your buy-in, so you are still in profit.

I have gone on "Tilt" so many times in Cash games I barely can count on them, but I never buy-in for more than I can afford to lose, and if I lose everything I bought in for I go home, sleep on it and say there is always another game. I have seen some men win a small fortune playing roulette, then go and lose it all in a cash poker game, Why? There is no sense in it.

It is the same when going to a Racetrack and losing a fortune on the horses, you always keep enough back for a taxi ride home!

Take a break, or if there are still tables, try to keep your attention, calm down somehow, take notes. If you can, go for fresh air or ventilate during the break.

When I'm on tilt it's a lot of emotional madness that takes over my being. The tendency is for me to continue and lose everything. That's why I don't like to keep playing when I go on tilt.
