my motivation is that I love the game (there are times when I hate it, sometimes). but I always come back to it, I thought a few times that I would break what I had on hand. I always come back..the action is top.when it comes to big pots that feeling when your heart really beats. then you satisfaction when you discover his bluff'.nice

The big goal ... to build up a decent bankroll with a small amount of money to take a seat in the wsop main event in Las Vegas "only once". Chris Moneymaker's story is my inspiration and motivation ... nothing is impossible.

I don’t know of a game other than poker where I would have a realistic chance of winning big money. Of course, luck also plays a big role here but my impact on the game is even greater! For me, this is the biggest motivation in poker!

What is your motivation, to keep playing and not give up, when you loose for quiet a decent amount of time?

Hi.
For me, the best motivation is my victories and cash in my accounts. The combination of these two factors always has a positive effect on my motivation.
Good luck.

Analyzing, raking my hands. How much better will you play if you spend five hours doing a detailed analysis of hands that meet the same criteria. Most likely a little. Now imagine that I am analyzing a hand according to many criteria. I will have new ideas that will motivate me even more and will not let me get bored. And a few hours of training will fly by like a couple of minutes.

Motivational circle
The point is to create a vicious circle between motivation and appreciation for our work. Exploring and discussing new ideas with other players will push us towards even more and deeper exploration, while providing motivation and social pressure to continue learning.

The very game of poker for me is the motivation, winning for me is not the main thing, the main thing for me is the game itself

Make it a hobby, not a job.If you like playing poker, and your playing mostly free rolls, its a very cheap hobby. In the cold winter months, making poker a hobby and enjoying the game is the best thing you can do.

I think the best motivation is to set up one or some goals and try to achieve

Well... I play for fun, and occasionally I can make a nice payout and treat myself to something on my wishlist. But mostly... yeah, I just love the game. No other card game or even other forms of games even comes close. It has all the good parts associated with a fun adventure. Skill, strategy, psychology... and ofcourse a tiny bit of luck. So, while I don't aim and have so far not been able to get rich playing poker, I do finish ITM in many tourneys I play. So my motivation is to consistently finish higher... My average finishes are between 10 - 27th place, so my goal is to improve my game so that I have more of a Final Table average.

My main and only motivation is to cut more dough in one of the games, and at such moments I seem to be very concentrated. And how the game will go is another question.:D

Hello, for me poker is more entertainment than earnings, so I always enjoy playing and losing only motivate me to do work on mistakes and learn the subtleties of this game, and knowledge without practice is useless! I always feel progress when I understand my mistakes and this is my motivation! I wish you to progress more and only win! Good luck!

I play as a hobby, really enjoy the game and the thrill of the odd win. If I am on a long down swing, I take a break when I hit that frustration point where I am not happy when I start my game. Motivation returns when my attitude returns back to excited to play and believe I can win again.

My motivation is first of all the pleasure of the game process. For me, poker is a hobby that allows me to be distracted and have a good time. Therefore, the main motivation for me is the pleasure of the game.

Money, money, money.
I think money is the best motivation for 99% of players. Almost everything in our lives depends on our financial capabilities. Therefore, money is essentially a priority.

Nice question , personally I love the game and more specifically when I play against good opponents because this is where you play the good thrilling poker which I love so much.

I play whenever I want and I also try to take small breaks , I can't and I don't want to play non stop poker. Grinding is not for me.

Last but not least I play within my limits/bankroll and some side income is always welcome :)

If I lose, especially after several hours of playing, I do some exercise like swimming or jogging, watching a comedy movie and preparing food, or going out with my friends or family and talking about things that have nothing to do with poker
