Family and friends from a very young age. We were always playing some kinda card game, crib/board game or something with cards eventually turned into poker.

Mostly friends at school. Once I heard more about poker, I started researching more and found poker forums, then freerolls, then PokerStrategy. Rest is history.

My father and uncle taught me at a very early age, cash game at that, stud poker mostly. I've played steady pretty much since then. I only heard of Texas hold em twenty some years ago maybe, on TV. My father in his 80's does not play anymore, but he does watch WTP and Poker After Dark with interest.
