It was the month before my 58th birthday and I thought it was about time I learnt how to play. I also thought I might be able to make some pocket money from the game, nothing too ambitious, maybe pay for a night out or two over a year. That may take till my 60th birthday.

I enjoy the feeling like I can't trust anyone but me (at the tables). Keeping in mind that ALLLLLLLLL poker players LIE. You can almost create an entirely new persona for yourself and lead total strangers to believe it simply because they don't know you at all.
By the way this works GREAT on hookers.

it's down to D now. Used to think I could make money, but that proved to be a fantasy. Guess it's just a habit now. As in anything else it seems you really need money to make money. The bigger your stake the better your odds.
