I enjoy the mathematical aspect. And making some money along the way is nice too

To be honest, the competition part doesn't matter a lot to me. If there weren't math involved in the competition, I don't think I'd like it near as much. For example, running races or playing online PvP games don't interest me. It's the mental aspect. But not even just that. For example, I don't enjoy chess as much. While chess is mental, it's not particularly mathematical, so I don't like it as much.

Hello!

I wholeheartedly play poker for recreational purposes only, although I have to admit that I have had a few "wet dreams" about hitting a big tournament prize... Heh, but reality kicks in very quickly, you really need lady luck in your side 100% to win big.

Anyway, the reason I prefer poker over any other gambling game, is that in poker, you're not actually playing against the casino, but against other players, and this is where skill kicks in. In black jack or any other game of the sort, the house has a large margin to win. But in poker, you virtually have the same chance as anyone to win.

I'm not really sure why I play poker. haha I lose ALOT of the time and get angry. But I keep coming back to it I suppose because of the mystery and blind chance of getting just what you need. :dancing2:
