Quit, is to hard I think taking breaks. For doing other recreational things is the right way.
Only reason to quit is I think playing against AI that is winning.

I quit to play poker a couple of years ago when I was in college and didn't play poker for about 4-5 years. The reason why I quit at that time was because poker demands a lot of time and I was not studying enough because of that. And of course for me college was far more important, so, I decided to not play poker until I finish my college. Now I have more free time, so, I'm playing again because it's one of my hobbies.

I stopped playing poker in 2005 due to my wife's illness, Parkinson's disease.
Today thanks to a miraculous surgery she is fine, and I have returned to play after 16 years.

The only reason I'm going to stop playing poker is if it hurts my relationship with my wife and kids. For me, family is the most important thing in the world, everything else is secondary.

If you want to earn money by poker you need to spend a lot of time, if you don't have that time you need to quit the poker for sure, it's personaly your choise, but it's not about me))))

One day, my youngest daughter (8y) came to me when I was playing poker and asked me: why do I play this game, because it's boring and stupid.

I was speechless for the moment.

I answered: father learns here to have more patience.

Just for family i'll quit.

I will stop playing poker when Pokerstars is no longer in the world. No poker company can compete in the system, graphics and essence of Pokerstars. Only Full tild poker competition was possible, but Full tild, the only competition, was covered by pokerstars. My answer: Never!!!

I play much less now because I am not psychologically wired to quickly shake off bad beats and suck-outs, so when I cannot get past those after sitting out for a few days, I will quit for good. Life is too short to be miserable over a card game.

I like to play freerolls to pass the time and measure my luck. here in Brazil there is a saying, luck in the game, bad luck in love, and vice versa, so I play to test lol.

I have 2 reasons, the first is to stop playing because of age, if the player is over 70 years old, it is already difficult for him to win against young people, and the second reason is, if I suddenly get rich, if I am a millionaire, then I will also quit poker.

I'll quit if I stop enjoying it. I'm currently on a low cycle at the moment -- not really enjoying it all that much.
Too many bad beats, runner runners, suck-outs and shitty hands repeatedly hitting nonsense and me just on the wrong stick again and again.
I know its just variance...but I'm not tough enough mentally to withstand the repeated BS.

Today I lost AQo vs Q4o, AKs vs K4o, AA to 84o, KK to A3o, QQ to K7o, KQs to 65s.
I was raising each time, and getting one caller after my raises.

I just find lately, I've been relatively disciplined and my cards are never hitting, whilst all the bingo players call anything and hit every time.

Luckily, golf has been getting better and better and I have some "garden leave" coming up and lots of golf in the cards, so to speak!

I have LITERALLY won more money this week playing golf than I have in poker. ..Podium finish (3rd) in my first tournament!

A loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong way from going pro in either game!

No winnings ?? What else ?? If they don't pay you , you don't play . I am not a little kid to play for fun . And one bad beat after the other doesn't help either . I will quit ACR (if sth doesn't change dramatically there ) . I am not satisfied with the results there . PS I play , bwin nowadays I try . If Bwin don't pay soon , I will quit it as well and continue playing only at PS . It they don't pay you , why play ?? It doesn't matter if it's RnG or your bad skills , the result matters

personally it's the time invested that matters to me. It I play 3 or 4 or 12 hours and I get nothing or some rakeback only , that really sucks .

When poker takes up my time with my kids or it damages my relationship with my husband which is difficult in the second case because my husband spends a lot more time playing than I do.

So sometimes it becomes hard to keep track of the many numbers that surround us,
plate numbers car, house,
numbers on the account, in the book, counting words and so on.

So actually only when you stop playing
in some strange way you start again.🙂

If poker were to really interfere with my kids lives, I would stop playing in a second. Family is much more important than this game.
