I had the basic understanding of Postion but didnt always consider position,an example : I'm UTG with TT preflop, I've pushed All In in a situation like this i dont know how many times. After Day 1 reading and watching the video I dont think i would do the same. I may shove a half pot raise in. Possibly limp in. I was considering the cards and not the position . I did't always do this but had tendency to just as a reflex or reaction. I've been taught something from Day 1 for sure. Also interested in the Relative Position. I never thought about that.

To finish and it has helped me a lot, I hope to put into practice and learn much more, I only know the basics and I need even more, especially to learn the position ranges, I still need to learn when to retire

Yes that is a hard lesson to learn - we all hate to give up good hands!

I am pretty sure the course does not advocate open limping. Open limping is the opposite of using the power of position.
I have heard Collin say that he does not even have an open limping range.

Today I start the course, and I hope to understand it to improve my game, thanks to the Community for giving us the opportunity to improve our game.

I'm fascinated how much I underestimated the importance of position and I totally missed out on relative position at the tables. Holy macaroni, I found out that my range in LP situations is way too tight. I appreciate Katie's and Collin's work and I can't wait to get more leaks fixed. Will try out my improved strategy tomorrow with the two welcome freerolls I got from SwissCasino. Thanks folks for this lesson.

I just finished Day 1 and watched the video — and I’m already seeing the game differently. I used to underestimate the power of position, but now it's clear how much of a game-changer it is. Being in late position really gives you more control over the pot and helps avoid tough decisions.

One question I had: when you're in early position with a decent hand like A-J suited or pocket 9s, how do you balance playing tight versus not missing out on value? Sometimes I fold these hands too often out of fear of a raise behind me.

A very interesting course. I had completely forgotten the concept of "relative position “, and it is very useful in some situations.

Yes, position is a powerful tool. I once heard a rumor that a poker player won a tournament without looking at his cards; he played solely based on his position and supposedly won the tournament.

That's why I think it's great that you cover this right at the beginning of the poker course.

I totally forgot how important position is. I started playing poker this year and started studying everything, but during the year I stopped for many things. Now that I have come back to playing and studied Day 1 of a 30-days course, it helped me a lot to remember how important position is!

Because you are the last person to act and have the most information on your opponents in that position. This course covers that very well so be sure to read it.

I've been playing poker for over 20 years and never studied much outside of pre-flop positional charts.
Currently, I feel like I'm a break-even player ATM. It's time for a refresh and become a more winning player. I hope this course will set me in the right direction.

I completed this course before and feel like my game has plateaued . So here I am taking a refresher. After completing this course, my game has improved significantly and I am proud to say that my bankroll will never be depleted again. However, I want to increase my average earnings at the table. I believe that I can improve the number of ITM finishes, if I can increase my aggression to maximize value on winning hands and steal more pots by improving my bluffing skills. To often, I get blinded out because i do not get in there and use the power of position to my advantage. Many times, I know villain is stealing and caught a few of them, but I would like to do that when I do not have a winning hand - lol.

So day 1 - I am more aware of position and avoid many sticky situations as a result. My hand selection has improved and I can be aggressive since I am now thinking in ranges based on position. It is a little sticky at time since you find players betting 3xBB with 67s UTG and getting the surprise of your life when being aggressive vs UTG in late positions. My position knowledge has also allowed me to steal more blinds when I play. I would however, like to fight back after the occasional 4 bets and resteal shoves more often!

I decided to take the course, even though I’ve been playing for years. Sometimes it’s useful to brush up on your knowledge. A great many players underestimate the role of position in a hand, and many aren't even aware of it at all.

Before this lesson, I knew that position was important, but I didn’t realize how much it influences every decision at the table. Acting last gives you more information about your opponents, making it easier to decide whether to bet, call, or fold.


I also learned that playing too many hands from early position can get you into difficult situations, while late position allows you to play a wider range of hands more profitably. This lesson made me realize that good poker is not just about the cards you receive, but also about where you are sitting at the table.


I’m looking forward to applying this concept in my games and seeing how it improves my decision-making.

I found this lesson very useful because I didn’t realize just how much position can affect a decision before the flop. Being able to act later gives you more information about what your opponents are doing, which can make a big difference when deciding whether to play a hand.


I also liked the idea that the same hand can be played differently depending on your position. It makes me think more carefully about not just the cards I have, but also where I am sitting at the table.
