I learned poker game (probably Hold'em) from my cousing when I was still on elementary (without currency coin, same amount). However, I am still newb as I do not know basic strategy, it's always call all the way and hoping for the best. As of now, I am still learning from many sources.

I will begin.
Poker taught me to play my own father back in 2009.
Poker is such a difficult game that I played it all the time in a minus and only since 2018 I started making poker, at least some money.
I play poker and try to beat the microlimits since 2018, since October I have been playing stably plus.

I started playing poker in 2004
I was 19 years old and fell in love with it when I saw the wsop on ESPN

I learned from reading every book I could find, poker forums and poker training sites (back then it was cardrunners and pokerxfacter)

My heights have been chopping a $1k WPT tourney for $162k. Winning 5 figures multiple times in sunday majors online, and winning hundreds of thousands playing cash games :)

the biggest high was having a piece of Greg Merson in 2012 when he wont the main event. I watched it front row center day 5,6,7,8,9,10 and it's been the highlight of my life.

Poker has given me financial freedom, an education, friendships and great connections in the business world of it as well. I love this game so much and all the people it has connected me with. Thank you Poker Gods and all the wonderful people who love this game too!!!

What year did you start playing poker?

I think it was 2005 or 2006.

How did you learn to play poker?

At first I read some articles online and then I tried out some play "to get a feeling". Later I was very active an ps.com

What heights have you achieved during this time that you met and learned how to play poker?

Winning at WSOP-ticket over a satellite in 2007 or 2008 (cashed-out this). Winning a step-6-SNG on Stars. Was playing then a promo for the EPT in Barcelona with Antonius, Raymer and more "stars" from that time.

Late I quit poker and started to play now again

Surprised I hadn't answered this. I began playing in winter of 2003. I was working down in Fl with coworkers who introduced me to the game and we'd play modest 7-12player tourneys together. It was hard for me to get used to numerous overplays of junk hands. Florida guys really just wanted to play every hand for 3times the blind or allin. (maybe helped that two hott older women with a pool and liquor were next door) I lived in South Beach at this time, these fellas were in a house in midbeach 71/72st? It was clearly some interludes had happened numerous times between about 6 of them.
That summer back home in WI we continued playing in a bar league about twice a week. Larger fields with locals typically had 3 full tables/30players. If you were late, you had to be lucky someone busted out without a rebuy in the 1st hour to play. The Florida guys still played the same, so maybe thats just them. No two hotties to blame their play on up here. I made the final table often with my play but generally finished 3rd-5th which about paid for my entry and the half dozen-8 pints I drank of beer while there. The Moneymaker event happened not long after, poker was good for 6years. Then I had my daughter and this now is basically restarting poker play for me. Lasted a month in January, my luck seemed worse bad beats everywhere. Poker evolution in last 10years clearly has better loose players than back then. Or maybe it's just the programs that are readily available to basically ruin a player who isn't playing with these programs.

For me, it all started with a friend telling me from another friend who's quite good at poker and flies all over the world for live games.
Next day, I saw a poker tutorial Video (pokerstars) and fell in love ever since - created an account at pokerstars, played with Play Money to improve the game, saw interviews and games of all legends, bought masterclass from Daniel Negreanu and Phil Ivey, followed the history of Tom Dwan,..it is really a fascinating world! :)

I started playing in 03 and learned from ESPN how to play. I had general knowledge of 5 card draw from when I was a child. Playing with friends and watching adults play but when the poker boom came I jumped right on that train

2008. I learnt mostly by talking about poker with other poker players. Of course watching videos and making notes were really helpful too.
