Online ... learned from my mistakes 🙂

Where is the FUN with FUN money .... thats what I ask you 😉

I learned to play as a kid. At all my family get tothers we play a lot of games. Cards, domino's and "Murder" (a marble and dice game) were the ones we played most often. I didn't really get interested in it until I went to the house of one of my friends and they had a tournament going on about 2 years ago. I have been rehooked ever since.

I began playing poker when I was about five. My brothers and I would use my moms buttons and pennies and play for hours. I just started playing texas holdem about two years ago. I play everyday, to keep on top of my game. Well hope to see u at the tables!

I learned to play stud around 8 years old watching my Dad and his friends play. From there I learnt how to play all sorts of different poker games from other family members and from friends. Hold-em I learnt from watching TV two years ago and have been hooked since.

well i only know about 91% on how to play the games.

and ive got a great satnd on betting ( which took me 4ever to figure out)

Poker

I learned to play poker by jumping right in to a weekly game my friends held, i didnt know what the heck i was doing but i did learn alot from other experienced players.

Can anyone recommend a good Texas Holdem Book to read? Thank you for any advice

Well I learned 5 card draw by teaching myself; I learned to play 7 card stud by playing a Super NES game called Vegas Stakes (The A.I. on that game was on the level of "idiot"); I learned game of choice, Texas Hold 'em, by watching the very idiotic Celebrity Poker Showdown (I hate poker shows with celebrities) and then I watched the World Poker Tour; and I learned triple draw poker by playing online (and I am not good at that one).

I also learned some stategy by reading a little bit of Phil Hellmuth's book Play Poker Like The Pros and Harold Lederer's DVD The Secrets of No Limit Hold 'em. I think I benefitted more from the DVD since Lederer is a better teacher and isn't full of himself like Hellmuth is.

I learned to play from a buddy of mine, i picked up very quick and it came pretty natural to me to understand the quality of hands, position, pot odds, and implied odds. I'd like to think of myself now as an average player. i've started reading some books and im always looking to improve my game.

i learned from this boy i had a crush on. most important lesson? poker=good, boy=bad.

I learnt the basics when they started showing WPT events on free TV. Went to the casino, played fifteen minutes on there practise table, and have been trying to improve online ever since.

i learned to play poker at paradise it told me my hands so i went by that then eventually learned reads and now im a good poker player

I learned to play from my husband. he found some free n/l tourments that are daily around here and started to play and then I said why dont you teach me so i can having something else to do. and I have been doing good and learning ever since.

early in school , playing with friends on waffles 😀 , played first the classical 5 card draw and then moved to hold`em , played first in expekt , if i remember well.

I was reading Kevin Smith's blog (yes, as in Clerks... That Kevin Smith) and he said about UltimateBet. I grew intrigued as to why he was so addicted, so I went and downloaded the client, and read up on basic strategy. Went to Wikipedia, looked up Poker, and that was that🙂

I learned to play at home ... Reading, watching tournaments on TV and playing play money...

tv/friends

Before i even knew how to play my friends would have cash games and i would just drink and hang out with other friends who also werent playing. It took about a year or two of hanging around them before I even was curious to learn the game. But as soon as my friends taught me I began watching poker on t.v all day at work and have played almost everyday since

i learnt to paly by watching the pros on t.v after a while i started playing for fun money at ladbrokes.com then started depositing and now there no end to my obsession with the game.

I have been playing for 4 months now I do pretty good in small tournaments but in big tournaments i just miss the money,. I seem to be on the bubble alot . Any suggestions on breaking the bubble?

I'm pretty much new to online poker, and I am yet to deposit anywhere. I really like tournament play, and I was wondering what you thought were the best sites for me to consider making my first deposit at.

my mother taught me how to play 5 card draw when i was 5,, and ive been playing different versions of rummy, poker, and other cards games ever since.
