I learned to play 5card draw and stud poker from my grandmother when i was a kid.About 10 years ago i learned to play hold,em from a couple freinds of mine during home games.I actualy honed my hold,em skills playing the Xbox game wsop.

had my brother write the order of a winning hand......for example 2 pair beat one pair, straight beats 2 pair etc.. it has been a great pasttime now that i am retired.😛

I learn to play poker with the boys around the block and family playing penny poker. Sometimes just for fun to pass time away. Tne poker we played was not holdem it was 5 and 7 card stud, Hi and Lo Chicago etc. I learn the game of holdem from watching the TV. Then decided to try my game online a couple months ago. I love it but need to learn the finer points of tournament play. I get close to final table then push too much or play to tight and dont make it. It is a great game of discipline.

I LEARNED TO PLAY GRADUALLY MY WHOLE LIFE FROM MY FATHER AND UNCLES BUT I WAS NEVER ALOWWED TO PLAY UNTIL I TURNED 18. 4 WHAT REASON I DONT KNOW WHY.

well i learned to play with my grand pa when i was real young. i was like 5 when i would visit and we played all the time. the good ol days.😀

Poker

I started playing after watching the WPT and WSOP about six years ago. I'm going to Vegas for the first time in August.🙄

First learned 5card draw on a naked ladies deck of cards at my grandfathers. Saw rounders one time and read and watched everything I could get my hands on about hold'em omaha came later when i learned that fewer people new how to play therefore making it easier to take their money

Wow cant believe how young u all are.

I learned to play in the college cafeteria (never took any classes) where we cleaned the fish w games like stud, hi lo (declare), draw and guts.

That was over 30 years ago.

Still winning, but you holdem TV kids gave me a bit of a learning curve.

I played off and on with friends and such, but never really got into it until an old boss of mine showed me party poker and thrilled me with his ability to turn a $10 dollar sng into $50 bucks in a matter of minutes, I started paying half the buy ins and splitting the profits, eventually I started playing on my own and have been happily addicted since.:hmmmm2:

I was doing researching with a professor and one day we went to his house for dinner. and after that, he suggest we play some poker game and this is how I learn to play poker.

Ive been playing cards all my life practically, as a kid i played brag and other games with grandparents, aunts and uncles for pennies. As I got older I played stud and other games with friends and work collegues. As for Holdem I started playing about 4-5 years ago after watching it on TV, soon after I started playing online.

played online

that is how i learned how to play ans some home games and i use to play it like it was poker and i learned that it was not now i think i play better then when i started and i do win sometimes not a bunch but it it is good feeling when you win your money back

A couple of years ago I tuned in to Celebrity Poker Showdown with Phil Gordon. Watched a couple of episodes and found myself playing online at Tilt for playmoney chips and 900 seat freerolls.

Played with buddies a few years ago then started playing online a bit. Haven't done to well but haven't done to bad either. I'm not busto yet, and haven't had to reload.

first started playing for beer caps in the dorms!!! then it went online then to 4-5 games a week at bars and other places through out cincy. then i quit for a while b/c i was addicted lol now i just play here and there online and in home games that dont run me a 200 beans to sit down.

My friends 'taught' me how to play.. and by that I mean that they showed me the basics, and then took my money until I learned how to play

I was taught by my mates in high school, and since then i played through college and online to fine-tune my game

I have never played live. All of my experience is online. I don't have the guts to put big money in. I don't think I would have a good poker face.....lol. Online is great though. Goodluck in the live games and get into the WSOP

i fell into the whole craze when poker got huge, i already had an idea but i never played online. i started playing with my buddies and they turned me onto pokerhost in which there were great freerolls to build bankrolls and the option to turn your play money into real money on sit n go tourneys. thats how it all started and i been hooked ever since

I learned to play in Boone North Carolina at teh local VFW. They sponsored my boyfriends dart tournaments, which would last 9 hrs, in the back room was a bunch of old guys playing ten dollar ring games, and they invited me to play on sundays, I didn't win for three months straight and then a little after that. Then it was on!

I learnt to play poka @ the bikesicle, lol, bicycle club casino in bell gardens, ca. Matter of factly, lol, fact, I was only 17, I think it was because I use to be cute, or maybe coz I had an older high rolling friend , i mean i went with my uncle, yaeh!!
J/K
No but seriously, learned there. And i was 16.

I actually learned to play by watching on TV... There was nothing I usually watched on tv one day, and i ended up watching poker, and ever since then.......

i started by watching HE on the travel channel for about a year. then don't laugh i played on yahoo, play money. then i went to poker room. and finally FT and poker stars, those are my favorites, i tried a couple others, but between full tilt and poker stars, i stay pretty busy.
