I remember my first live game, after I played many, many thousands of hands online. It was almost like playing a new game. I had to get used to the slower pace of hands, figuring out stack sizes and pot sizes (still working on that), and making sure I didn't break any table rules. And I also had a great time!

Just played live for the first time yesterday, its unlike anything else!

My first time playing live cash, $1/$2, was a rush. My stack went from $200 down to $70ish, and I had to go all in with spec hand to rebuild. Ended at $195, and when I got up, I saw a $5 bill on the floor, and that’s how I broke even lol. I was glad for that result.

The other fun part was watching the table drama when a lag sat down, started raising almost every hand, and dismantled the table captain’s stack. There were some words flying.

I was scared to death playing Texas Hold’em for the first time in a casino…it was a 10 player single table tournament and I didn’t want to be the first player knocked out…couldn’t explain that to my 12 year old son
