Nervous for live poker

Yeah, I still get a few nerves before a live session. After the first orbit it usually disappears. I just remind myself to play my normal game and not worry about what other people think. Once you're focused on the hands, the nerves fade pretty quickly.

You're not wrong.....I find I rarely get involved in a huge hand before the first orbit is finished.....unless I already know the player/players involved in the hand so have some reads on them. Also the threat of getting down or busted and having to buy back back in that early really makes me cautious.

Same as myself. Usually have a beer to relax and once an orbit goes by I settle in

I am always nervous playing no limit holdem with 80 plus dollars on the felt in front of me . One poor read or bad luck and your buyin is gone . No fun .

This is a common situation, everyone is nervous, you just need to turn it to your side, what does not make us stronger

Oh hell yeah! I get nervous/excited just driving to the casino. I tend to deliberately play tight for the first orbit or two. Make sure I regulate my breathing and get my heart rate down and also take the time to pay attention to my opponents a bit more.
