Finished 67th of 160, busted at the end of level 8.

Will post my thoughts on playing live poker again some time over the weekend.
GG ! Live tournaments are very time-consuming and exhausting. Congratz!

Good luck, also have a live tournament tomorrow
Good luck! You should start a thread if you have time to let us know how you do!

I haven’t played in a live poker tournament in almost 2 years. Today I am taking a stab in the Harrah’s Cherokee WSOP Circuit Ladies event. I will decide if I am completely done - or want to play once in a while.

Wish me luck!
Hello debi
Of course, we wish you luck—or rather, I wish you something far greater and better than mere luck 🙂 Debi.
Enjoy yourself and have fun with our beloved game; everything will be fine. Happiness and joy are what matter most, as they will be the key to the success of this adventure.
Good luck, Debi.

online poker allows you to play a much higher volume of hands, but in live poker, you can play against much weaker opponents and for larger amounts of money.

My decision is definitely not result oriented - as you say it is more about how I play and whether or not I enjoy it.
I agree. 🙂 I play because I enjoy the game, as well as the company, and as long as I play well let the chips fall as they may. 🙂

Good luck, Debi! Live poker can be a refreshing change from online play. I hope you enjoy the experience and have a deep run.

not being able to stay fully hydrated while playing

2 hours between bathroom breaks
I'm assuming these two points are related for water management purposes. Is it not possible to just stand up and go to the washroom? That sounds inhumane.

Good luck! ♠️ I hope the event reminds you why you enjoyed live poker in the first place. Hopefully you have a great run and come away wanting to play a few more live tournaments!

Good luck in the wsop Circuit Ladies Event at Harrah's Cherokee; playing a live poker tournament is an experience no player should miss.

In a tournament the game continues while you're gone so you'll be missing out on X number of hands and also possibly have blinds taken.

Yes you can. But as the tournament progresses missing blinds becomes critical, even if you have an above average stack. Which means for a woman, especially one my age, you need to manage water consumption early because it hits you later. Or spew chips at a much higher rate than your male opponents. Blind levels have been decided by men - no woman would subject themselves to this.

Another advantage of online poker. Break every hour, and if I need to go to the toilet in between breaks (which happen quite often), its only a 5 meter walk, so can usually be done without missing more than a few hands 🙂

I wish you a cold, calculating mind and some luck and good results. For me, live poker isn't easy, you have to be aware of everything and when I say everything, it's also being aware of cheating players.

After almost 2 years away from live poker tournaments, I’m taking a shot today in the Harrah’s Cherokee WSOP Circuit Ladies Event.
Maybe it’s a comeback, maybe it’s my last one… let’s see what happens.

For those of you just joining in - I did not place in the tournament but I did enjoy playing again. It will be a rare thing I do though.

Good cards! 🙂

I've found sticking to single, low-stakes tournaments with early start times keeps the fun alive without draining my energy.
