I'm curious, what is the minimum amount of money needed to live one day in Vegas?
Is there a cheapest way to spend the night, perhaps in hostels or camping?

Cheapest hotels on the strip Flamingo, Linq, Excalibur and Circus Cricus. Hostels are off the strip near Fremont.

I ve been in LV once (im from argentina) stayed at paris and palace station, the best thing about paris is the location and the view of the bellagios fountains, palace station best thing is the price and the shuttle service, I would recomend them both.
Im thinking of going one more time but for a couple of months at least, does anybody knows any cheap place where you can pay for the entire month stay? Also, does anybody stayed using airbnb and can recomend?
Thanks!

I absolutely loved the Venetian! Bellagio is a must see, I didnt have the best winnings there but the Venetian is wonderfully decorated, has great food and staff and plenty of games for all players.
I want to go to the Belagio maybe I will run in to some poker pros like Negranu and Brunson or maybe mike the mouth:damnmate:

When I was in Vegas the week after the 4th of July, during the Main, I stayed at Flamingo for the first time. Got to be in one of the renovated rooms, it was nice! Also played poker in their poker room for the first time. I liked the feel more than places like Bellagio and Aria. Good place to play if you are new to the game. Met some cool people at the games I played in, which helped make the experience an awesome one!

Depends. Are you talking about cash to do stuff or whole trip? I would take at least $500 per day.

Golden Nugget

I stayed here for the first time this past February. I have to say I enjoyed it overall.

Hotel is nice, pool is great, lots of food options in the hotel and around Fremont. I was able to get a nice upgrade and the casino itself is spaced out well. I did find the casinos all along Fremont to be a bit smokier than the newer MGM properties. I would also add that I found the ambiance friendlier between fellow gamblers at the Nugget compared to the MGM properties. Finally, next door at the D is Las Vegas' last Sigma Derby racing game - so much fun.

Fremont street itself is jumping all night long which can be great but also loud. If you are looking to turn in early you'll need the supplied ear plugs.

Comps for the hotel I would rate as a bit stingy given that I stayed there for over a week but the staff were always very accommodating. Then again I always seemed to have some credit dollars on my players card whenever I ate anywhere on the property.

The poker room is small but fun. I only play low stakes and they have regular tournaments that run daily for low budgets. They have 1-2 NL cash most of the time and the action I found was pretty tight. The 1-2 cash here is true no limit meaning there is no cap on the buy in which could explain why people are a bit tighter at the Nugget. I definitely saw more fish on the tables at the Aria but I've also never seen anyone at the Aria walk in wearing a seersucker and fedora and plunk a literal bag of gold on the table so there's that.

Poker there will run 24-7 though it gets empty late at night/early morning. They also have a generous comp system but it works kind of different. You basically have to commit to playing for I think 4 hours and they give you a 10 dollar coupon for food. Regulars seem to ask for it early and get it. So that's 2.50 an hour but requires a time commitment.

Overall, if you're looking for players that will give you action, I'd recommend playing at the Nugget if your staying on Fremont when it is busy at night on the weekends. I think I prefer the Aria during the day.

Rio:

I stayed in the Masquerade Tower which is the newest and I thought my room was very nice. It was a spacious suite and looked pretty good overall. It had a fantastic view. There was a small refrigerator in the room and a nice long vanity/counter like hall outside of the bathroom.

If you are playing at the Rio you can't beat the convenience of staying at the Rio.

They have a great selection of slots - it isn't easy to find $5 table games though.

There is a good choice of places to eat - Chinese, Vietnamese, the Sports Deli, American burger, the buffet is not bad - and there are other places I have not even tried.

I would definitely stay here again - but only if I was playing at the Rio. Otherwise the location is not good if you want to be on the strip.

Were the prices super high here? I've never been to Vegas but am hoping to try a few wsop events this Summer. I've been looking around for a good cheap room that's close. And can't get closer than right there lol. Thank's for this thread, been wondering about a place that would have all this info easy to find.
