Excellent Restaurants
Just got back from Vegas. Was staying at the Aria, which was very nice and has a friendly poker room, usually with little waiting for a $1-3 table.
Ate at Blossom one night. It was elegant with different dishes than one finds in most Asian Restaurants, all of which were very tasty...the price was mid range and reasonable for the quality of the food.
Ate one night in the Mirage Hotel before seeing the Beatles Love Cirque de Soleil. The restaurant was Otoro. I highly recommend this restaurant for the variety of the menu. They have what they call a Robata menu, with many grilled appetizers on skewers. It was fun to try so many different appetizers instead of getting 2 main dishes and rice for two people. Price was reasonable (for Las Vegas), and the quality superb. It was our second time there, and we intend to go back our next time in Vegas.

Just wrapped up 12 days in Vegas @ The Venetian. While the hotel was a bit pricey compared to some other options, the card room was always top 3 on the strip in number of tables running during my 2 weeks there. It seems like Venetian is a frequent place for conference goers to stay, as there was a financial industry conference and SEMA attendees roaming around all hours of the day. Definitely good action in The Venetian card room.

Side note - heading back to Vegas in February and staying at The Cromwell. Caesars is currently running 20% off rooms if you book through their site until 11/25.

Planet Hollywood and a couple of food update 2018
I always stay at Caesar's properties and eat at them too when in Vegas during June/July. See my other posts in this thread as to why.

I was offered another Sunday night - Friday stay comped at PH this year. Since I usually play a lot at the Aria, I thought it would be a shorter walk than from the Flamingo. Some have said you can't beat their location--I'll disagree. It ended up that I didn't play at all at the Aria. So, I really would have been better off at the Flamingo--shorter walk to Bellagio Poker Room and Caesar's Poker Room. It really depends on where you will be playing mostly.
I usually like to jump in cash games where I stay late at night to wind down and relax. This was near impossible at PH. Constant pounding music, lights, and distractions from the party pit. Not really a "room" per se, but a bunch of tables thrown in an open area.
Hash House at the Linq
Evidently under new management. Worse experience at a HH ever and they are usually awesome. Basically when I had a problem with the crispy potatoes in a dish, manager told me they had other potato options and that's just how they make them. they did remake them for me and they were much better that the little pieces of burnt charcoal they originally served me.
Counter wait staff is still awesome!
Warning Caesars points users
The Linq HH charges DOUBLE points for meals, so my usual $17 meal was $34 worth of points. There's no warning either!

I'm not a huge Ramsey fan and there isn't another restaurant in Vegas of his that I would recommend. My group got me to go here this year. The service was fantastic and really enjoyed my meal. It is pricy, but so is just about anything anymore. You can use points. They will break large groups into 5 separate checks if you ask. FYI when using points you cannot have them use a portion of points on a bill. Must use all points or cover entire bill.

I recently ate at Gordon Ramsey's Burgers in Planet Hollywood. It was delicious! Their milkshakes are the best I have ever had. They have a chocolate milkshake with creme brulee on top of it - it is to die for.
The burgers are great and you get lots of fries. I could only eat half of my food.
Jessa got a hotdog - it is way more than just a hotdog. Her plate was full and she loved it. She could not eat more than half of hers either.
Highly recommended - it is located inside of Planet Hollywood.

Yes - though I should do a review on Gordon Ramsey Steaks in Paris - it wasn't bad but wasn't amazing either.

well ,I like French food he has a nice steak . paris is in nice location ,good staff I have a file there . and maybe I am just used to it . I like the blue sky in the casino ,don't feel like I am locked in an underground box .
why not paris ? do you have any bad experience there ?

Oh no bad experience here! We have not stayed there but have swung through the casino and the theatre a couple times. Someday I would like to check it out - it's on our hit-list of casino/resorts to stay. I've heard amazing things about Mon Ami Gabi but have not made it there, yet.

After being to Vegas over 12 times I personally have a tradition every time I go (all statements are in my opinion):
Places to Eat/Drink/Things to See
-If with a group who drinks go to the Fuel Bar in front of Bally's, next to Sin City Brewing.
-Yardbird (in the hallway between the Venetian and Palazzo next to La Chica) for their weekend brunch -best non-high end meal om Vegas
-If you like wheat beers the Walgreens directly across from Crystals City Center Mall is the only one on the strip that carries Franziskaner
-Chicken Sandwich and Ramen at Momofuku (Cosmopolitan second level) for one dinner
-If you are in town during the SEMA show in November they park a number of the kitted out cars in front of the Aria, worth checking out.
-The Grand Lux Cafe at Venetian and Palazzo are the best all night food in Vegas, very consistent quality, even at 3 in the morning.
Places to Play
-Best for table games - The Cromwell has the best (aka most engaging) dealers on the strip. -Almost- everywhere on the strip (as of November 2019) were 10$ at all times with some doing $15 min bets at peak hours. You can still find $5 at Casino Royale and TI on off hours, but otherwise you'd have to go downtown for "cheap" games.
-Best for Poker - I have less experience with live poker in Vegas, but I do know Venetian has the worst tournament rake in the City (though they have the nicest room). If you're looking for experience playing at the Bellagio next to Bobby's room is pretty cool, even if it's just 1-2 cash.
The best value for money in hotels:
-Low tier - Bally's: Central location, clean rooms with everything working (which is a surprisingly tough bar to clear for some places like Luxor)
-Mid tier - Ceasar's Palace: Good(ish) comp program if you play and stay there, good location.
-Upper tier - Cosmo or Venetian/Palazzo: best restaurants and pool areas, Cosmo's hotel reward program also carries over to other Marriott properties (I believe, check the website). Venetian/Palazzo are all-suite, so even the standard rooms have a sunken living space with plenty of space for entertaining or hanging out during breaks.
-Boutique: I have personally never stayed at the boutique hotels (Nobu/Waldorf/etc...), but would be interested to hear what they're like.
