Single Table vs. Multi-Tabling: Which do you prefer?

I'm currently debating whether it's better to focus entirely on one table to maximize focus and read opponents, or to play multiple tables to increase volume and potential hourly win rate. What is your current strategy? How many tables do you usually play at once, and what are the pros and cons in your experience?

I am starting to realise I play the best on 2 tables at the same time instead of 3-4. Just enough engagement to keep me sharp, but not too much so that it clutters my thinking and I start to autopilot!

The only times I play 1 game at a time is the first game of the session and the last game of the session.

One game at a time is just way to slow.

That really depends on the individual; the important thing is to open enough tables to play them all well. If you can't play well and stay focused on three tables, drop down to two; if two doesn't work, play one—just keep testing it out.

Player who is still learning / wants to maximize their edge: 1–2 tables.
Winning regular looking for a balance between quality and volume: approximately 3–6 tables.
Professional grinder focused on volume: 6–12+ tables, depending heavily on skill level, format, and how automated their decision-making is.
The optimal range is often around 4–8 tables, although this varies greatly depending on the player and the stakes.

Pretty much this. Just want to add, that for more than 1-2 tables you do not want to be playing on a phone, and for more than 3-6 tables a laptop is also no longer enough. Instead you want to use a large monitor or even better two monitors, so you can still see all your tables.
