No, there is no reason to be completely certain that software could never be manipulated. But there is also no reason to conclude that it is manipulated simply because certain hands seem like they were written by a screenwriter.
Players who take the issue seriously tend to rely much more on large databases + statistical analysis than on their memory of bad beats. And precisely because of this, rigged poker theories have been debated for years: individual experiences can seem extraordinarily suspicious even when they are still compatible with normal variance.

I think that for beginners, using complex third-party software like HUDs is not necessary. GGPoker already has great built-in tools like Smart HUD and PokerCraft. They provide enough basic information to analyze your opponents and your own mistakes without overcomplicating the game.

I win constantly because I've found ways to lessen the manipulation, but I keep seeing it happen repeatedly at Cash Game tables.

Algorithms and systems can potentially be manipulated, including those used in online poker. However, if you genuinely don’t trust or like the system, you have two simple options: build your own system or simply choose not to use it.

At the end of the day, players should use platforms they feel comfortable and confident with.

😂 It definitely feels that way sometimes, especially after a brutal bad beat. We've all had those moments where it seems like the river has a personal grudge against us. That said, I don't think poker sites are programmed to make specific players win. If they were, it would quickly destroy trust in the platform. What usually tricks us is variance—we remember the painful runner-runner beats much more clearly than the times the odds worked in our favor. My approach is to focus on whether I got my money in with the best of it. If I made the correct decision, I can live with the result, even if "LuckyDuck99" spikes the miracle card once in a while! 😄♠️
