It's ultimately very difficult to say for sure that it is or it isn't rigged.
Its ultimately very difficult to say for sure, if your brother or your neighbour is a serial killer or not. But unless you have some kind of evidence, or charges have already been filed against them for this crime, this is not really a healthy way to think about the situation. The vast majority of people are not serial killers, so we should not go around and think "yeah maybe he is, or maybe he is not, who knows".
And unlike serial killers, which there have been quite a few off over the years, there has never been a proven case of the cards not being dealt randomly on an online poker site. There have been cases of players cheating, and sites not paying people out for various reasons. But not a single case of the cards not being dealt randomly over 25 years of online poker, where many sites have come and gone.

There is no third party overlooking any poker site.
This is completely false. All the major sites like GG Poker, PokerStars etc. have licenses to operate in many countries like the UK, Germany, France, some US states, Ontario etc. And of course there is oversight of
online casinos in these places, just like there is oversight with any other kind of business operating legally there. There might not be oversight in your particular country, if you live in a place, where online
gambling is illegal, or there are just no laws about it. But then you will benefit from the oversight carried out by authorities in other countries.

They are a business, so obviously they need to be profitable.
Yes and they make money from rake and tournament fees. Its actually very simple. Once people have bought into a tournament, the site has already made their profit, and it does not matter to them, who win the tournament.

But we don't have access to data to prove anything.
This is also false. Online players have collected millions of hands in their trackers over the years, but of course only on sites, that allow it. These hands can be subjected to statistical analysis to prove any sort of anomalies, and none have ever been found.

I trust no one who makes millions in profit.
So basically you trust no private company over a certain size then? Meaning you will never but a car, because you trust neither Toyota, Ford, GM, Tesla etc.?

When I look at my GGPoker statistics it shows I made about a thousand dollars. I never withdrew any money from GG so I didn't make any profit. But they keep track of every cent you supposedly won. So if you spin 10 $ into 500 4, then lose it, to them you still made 500 $ in profit.
Yes that statistic is useless, and GG Poker is one of the least transparent sites, that ever existed. With other sites you can check your tournament results on
sharkscope, and there are also sites, that track cash game results in a similar way. GG Poker is the biggest, but the are certainly not the best, so you could consider trying to play somewhere else. It seems like, you are living in Canada, and there are still many canadians playing on PokerStars. So maybe try them, if you want something more transparent. They allow the use of trackers, and you can also use Sharkscope to track your results.
