May I suggest Iran ? Lol
The late Ayatollah legalized sex change for the completely wrong reason 😆
He didn't want trans people running around, so change your gender and be done with it ^^
In the 1980s, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini issued a religious decree legalizing gender transition surgery. As a result, Iran permits transition surgeries and provides official identification documents in the corrected gender following the procedure. While state-subsidized care makes the country a hub for gender-affirming procedures, it does not have broad anti-discrimination laws protecting transgender people
I was talking about poker and account restrictions, not asking for sarcastic jokes about people’s identities or countries. If that’s your sense of humor, fine, but personally I prefer respect over cheap mockery.

At least your location still gives you plenty of alternatives… for me, the options are very limited, and most of them are honestly terrible platforms.

PokerStars is a bottom. You have absolutely nothing to regret. Forget about this bottom, push yourself away from it and turn your attention to promising projects like 888 or GG.
All the alternatives you mentioned are not available in my region, so I find myself regretting the loss of PokerStars because it was at least the “least bad” compared to what remains of the available options.

Is PokerStars in the US market? I heard somewhere that they managed to resume operations there.

Play somewhere else. That account is gone.
PS is a sinking ship anyways. No big loss:)
I believe we were created with a clear biological sex, and it shouldn’t be changed based on personal preference. I respect everyone’s freedom, but for me, gender identity remains tied to biological reality.

Cool, nobody asked you.
And no , biological sex and gender identity is NOT the same.
You can say you don't understand it but facts really don't care about your opinion.
Actually nobody's opinion is relevant when it comes to facts

Hello everyone,

I wanted to share a personal situation that has honestly been frustrating me for a long time, and maybe someone here has gone through something similar.

Around a year ago, during a very bad period at the tables and after a lot of frustration and bad luck, I made an emotional decision and requested the permanent closure of my PokerStars account myself.

At the time, I thought it was the right thing to do, but not long after, I deeply regretted it.

Since then, I’ve contacted PokerStars support many times, politely explaining the situation and asking if there is any possible way to reopen the account. Unfortunately, they always refuse — respectfully and professionally — because their policy is very strict regarding permanent self-closure requests.

I completely understand that rules are rules, but honestly, it has been very hard accepting that one emotional decision might permanently end years of history on a platform I truly loved.

Also, PokerStars was the very first poker platform I ever installed on my computer nearly 20 years ago, so for me it was never just a game or another poker site — it carries years of memories and emotions.

So I wanted to ask:

Has anyone here experienced something similar with PokerStars or another major poker site?
Were you ever able to recover your account after a permanent closure request?
Is there any advice, contact method, or approach that might help?

I would truly appreciate any honest experiences or guidance.

Thanks everyone.
I know this sucks.. I have a friend with the same situation and unfortunately they was clear that have zero chance to get back on the platform..
Your only solution is to forget about PS and try GGpoker, in my opinion it's much better on many levels
Good luck anyway

You started the discussion with a joke about Iran and sarcastic remarks about trans people, so you’re not exactly in the position to lecture others about “facts” or “tone”.The topic was PokerStars. You shifted the discussion to Iran, the Ayatollah and legislation. You’re right about one thing: facts don’t depend on anyone’s opinion. But saying something with a superior tone doesn’t magically make it true.
Biological sex is a biological concept. Gender identity is a psychological and social one. They’re different, but that doesn’t give you the right to talk down to people.
And yes ,if you don’t want replies, then don’t post. That’s how public discussions work.If you just want to be rude, don’t expect anything different in return.By the way, your Iran/Ayatollah comment is political content. That’s not allowed under the forum rules.!!!

Pretty simple, create a new email address and open a new account

This typically only works for those who play poker with no intentions of cashing out.

I didn't research much but did check with a couple of the AI sources which also took me to other forums.
And I got this:
(also, a lot of the sites are softer competition than Pokerstars)

To begin with, PS is no longer operating in your region since August 2025 according to what I know. But check that out, I could be wrong as every country has different legislation and dealings with poker sites.

É bem simples: crie um novo endereço de e-mail e abra uma nova conta.
Impossible. When you register, you need to link your personal documents, so you create another email, another account, and when you try to register your Social Security Number (CPF) to make a deposit, guess what happens?

It's not possible because your documents are linked to the account that you requested to be permanently deleted.

I've never had to register a 'Social Security Number' (CPF) or anything of the sort on any site I've ever played on. (I've played on over 40 different sites)

Hi:)
Even if you create another account, it will be frozen along with any deposit you made on the same day or the next day. I think it is better to change the room so that you are not surprised by the same problem. Join GG or 888.

Good morning, everyone.

I went through a similar situation with Bet365. What happens is that these large sites usually offer not only poker, but also sports betting and casino games.

Whenever I created an account on one of these sites, such as PokerStars, I would contact customer support and ask them to block access to sports betting and casino games, leaving my account active only for playing online poker. I did this on every site I used.

In the case of Bet365, I requested the closure of the casino and sports betting sections because I wanted to continue using only the poker service. However, they simply closed my entire account. Since then, I have not been able to find any way to reverse that decision.

From what I have seen, when you request the permanent closure of an account on large sites, it is very difficult to get it reactivated later. Even if you take legal action, the chances are usually small because it was the user who originally requested the permanent closure of the account.

It is a complicated situation, but in practice, the alternative is to play on other sites. Unfortunately, there is not much that can be done.

As for 888poker, only the casino and sports betting sections are available in Algeria; the poker platform itself is not available to Algerian players. As for GG Poker, it is completely unavailable in Algeria.

Why you think they want to talk every year after they clearly stated they dont want you back and there is no chance anymore? They are not some kind of ex-girlfriend 😅

Oh, that's sad. She lost an old friend. My advice is to always make decisions with a cool head. Whenever important decisions are involved, emotions shouldn't get involved.

lol, move to a restricted country and it solves your problem. you cant get it back then anyway. 😂🤣 I had a poker stars account a long time ago. maybe like 10 years or so. Lost quite a bit there.. was wreckless. but anyway, unrelated. when i tried to go back in, my country restricted access to Pokerstars.. so i had to make peace with it. hope this comforts you somewhat ❤️

I posted a reply to the thread and it was banned for allegedly being AI-generated...

Perhaps it was the same pattern PokerStars used to prevent the user's re-entry or reinstatement, since their requests are handled by bots using basic forms and not by real users. Requests to gaming sites like PokerStars should be sent to the email addresses I provided in my banned reply, seeking assistance from real users and human supervisors.
I'll try to avoid spelling mistakes, write no more than two paragraphs, avoid using bold text, use correct grammar, and be more human and natural in my posts so they don't send me replies...
It's ironic that my "denied" reply was detected by a bot, and in it I stated that the user's repeated requests to re-register with PokerStars are unsuccessful because there are still entries in the bot's filter... 😉

Thank you for your input.

At this point, I feel like I have exhausted the standard support channels. Does anyone know of an email address where I can reach a real supervisor or a member of the responsible team directly?

I'm not looking to bypass any rules. I would simply like a human review of my case, as all my previous requests seem to have been handled through automated responses. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
