lol, move to a restricted country and it solves your problem. you cant get it back then anyway. 😂🤣 I had a poker stars account a long time ago. maybe like 10 years or so. Lost quite a bit there.. was wreckless. but anyway, unrelated. when i tried to go back in, my country restricted access to Pokerstars.. so i had to make peace with it. hope this comforts you somewhat ❤️
Thank you for your kind words. Honestly, it's not something that really needs comforting — it's just one of those things in life that happen, and we move on. 😊

Why? Do you think it would matter?

Have you actually carefully read through all the responses in this thread?

Some members clearly explained why they'll not revert their decision.

You're not the first person to be in the situation and also not the last person.

I've never came across a person who was able to revert a permanent ban.

Thank you for your input.

At this point, I feel like I have exhausted the standard support channels. Does anyone know of an email address where I can reach a real supervisor or a member of the responsible team directly?

I'm not looking to bypass any rules. I would simply like a human review of my case, as all my previous requests seem to have been handled through automated responses. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You should try sending an email directly to [email protected] instead. That goes to the actual security team and not the basic copy-paste customer service.

PokerStars was probably the worst poker room for this kind of situation. They probably will not let you play again. If it were another poker room, you might have had a better chance, like 888poker.
For now, I really like WPT Global, but for Americans, WPT Club Gold might be the better option from what I've heard.

Considering what PokerStars has become, you are not losing anything..... A few more years and it will cease to exist altogether. A once successful project which, thanks to "skillful management", has completely exhausted itself.

Hello everyone,

I wanted to share a personal situation that has honestly been frustrating me for a long time, and maybe someone here has gone through something similar.

Around a year ago, during a very bad period at the tables and after a lot of frustration and bad luck, I made an emotional decision and requested the permanent closure of my PokerStars account myself.

At the time, I thought it was the right thing to do, but not long after, I deeply regretted it.

Since then, I’ve contacted PokerStars support many times, politely explaining the situation and asking if there is any possible way to reopen the account. Unfortunately, they always refuse — respectfully and professionally — because their policy is very strict regarding permanent self-closure requests.

I completely understand that rules are rules, but honestly, it has been very hard accepting that one emotional decision might permanently end years of history on a platform I truly loved.

Also, PokerStars was the very first poker platform I ever installed on my computer nearly 20 years ago, so for me it was never just a game or another poker site — it carries years of memories and emotions.

So I wanted to ask:

Has anyone here experienced something similar with PokerStars or another major poker site?
Were you ever able to recover your account after a permanent closure request?
Is there any advice, contact method, or approach that might help?

I would truly appreciate any honest experiences or guidance.

Thanks everyone.
Nope + Serbians players can't play there anymore (I loveeeee PokerStars)...

Write them an email, beg them to get your account back and that's it - do make another one, they would catch you! ;)

Honestly, it was the best poker platform I ever played on. I really wished I could stay there until the very end… even sink with the ship if needed.
yeah, I must agree. It was the best at the time for me too. but they blocked our country.. aparently illegal to play online poker here. but GG Poker's App is very similar in the game play. i find other sites less appealing.. for example high stakes poker's interface, look and feel is terrible.. only as a result of that, I dont play there. still have a few bucks in my account, i think. only GG now. 👌🏻

That's tough to hear. After nearly 20 years, an account isn't just a login—it's a history of games, memories, friendships, and countless hours at the tables. One mistake can feel incredibly costly when so much time has been invested.
At the same time, it's a reminder that rules and account security should never be taken lightly, especially on major platforms. Hopefully there's still a chance to appeal the decision or at least get a clear explanation of what happened.
I'm curious—was it a genuine mistake, or did you know at the time that it might violate the site's terms? Sometimes the details make a big difference in how these situations are handled."

He did not violate the sites terms. He asked that his account gets closed down and they fulfilled his wish ✨ And because of their responsible gambling policy there is no way back.

Its a move that only makes sense in my book if one lost at least a few K and needs some self-protection from further losses.

Exactly this and why Pokerstars is still my main site after 21+ years now despite trying all the major sites the last 21+ years. It's simply pretty much a marriage now as I've been there so long I can't see myself playing full-time anywhere else and of course I still love and enjoy playign at Pokerstars even if it's not the huge site it once was. It's the memories, friendships, the trust, security and the 21 years of never having a single issue or problem. Deposits are instant. Withdraws always within 48 hours(except weekends).

Sadly once you self exclude there is no way back even if it's a mistake. Not sure but I've heard it has to do with the sites gaming license(every licensed poker site and business has rules they gotta follow and abide by), responsible gambling and all that.

Cheers!!!

It used to be my favourite site it was by far the best in my eyes. Stars reminds me of ebay now, I don't take it serious and I wouldn't go on there. They have done you a favour so many better sites around.

i miss Pokerroom. It was the first poker site I ever played at. Again, a lot of memories. It went out of business. So just put in your mind that Pokerstars went out of business, because as far as you are concerned, it is.

It amazes me how quickly you forget how much pain was caused between you and Pokerstars. Fortunately, they cannot be the cause of your pain in the future because Pokerstars has moved on. You should do the same.
OMG! Mine as well, first poker room I opened an account with. That was a very long time ago.

This SnG reg playing out of Belgium seems to disagree with you. He was making money on PokerStars 15 years ago, and he is still making money today. He will soon reach a million games played, and he is up almost 600k playing for an average of $6.84 per game. I would say, thats a decent performance on a site, that is reportedly so bad, there is no reason to even go there.

Tons of respect to that Belgium dude I tried my hand at SnG's back in the day thinking hey just a much smaller MTT :ROFLMAO:. Never was able to win much consistently at the single table SnG but did do ok at the multi-table 45,90 and that 180 player one when they had it. Really liked that 180 player $4.40 buy-in SnG when it ran.

Oh yeah and Pokerstars is still plenty profitable playing cash and MTT's as well. Pretty good for a site no one should visit. Least they keep their RNG license tested and licensed and don't let to go for 2-4 like one supposedly great site. They also don't scummy stuff like ban sharkscope so you can't bots and cheatings.

Cheers!!!

He play mostly multi-table SnGs. His most played game is the now discontinued $15 18-man, where he was able to win almost $1 pr. game over 55.076 games. After this 3 hyperturbo SnG satellite formats and after this the also discontinued $3.5 R+A 180-man. I know him, because I regularly play with him in the current 32-man On Demand games. Before these I mostly saw him in the 18-mans. He also play some MTTs.

I linked to his Sharkscope, because I get tired of listening to people claiming, that PokerStars is completely dead, there is no reason at all to play there, and soon the site will even be bankrupt. Sure volume is not, what it was 15 or even 5 years ago. But games are still running, and serious players are still making money. If people prefer to play somewhere else, thats their choise, but it does not mean, PokerStars is a terrible site.
