When you have a whole day to do it, do you take each freeroll one at a time or do you pick something you think you have more chances at and what would those be and what criteria do you select them by?
Thank you very much for the opinions and explanations!

free tournaments only spoil the good style of play

I know from experience that playing a lot of freerolls makes it impossible to play a normal tournament
it's the truth, forgive me all the freerolls fans!

I rarely play freerolls. Licensed sites are not allowed to offer them in Sweden, and most of them are not worth my time either. The last freeroll, I played, is still running right now on ACR Poker. There were at least 500 entrants competing for $50 with less than $10 for the winner. I only entered it, because I was winding down my session, I only had 3 tables running, and SnGs had kind of stopped running. So I was like "ok whatever why not", but if I had been able to get into any sort of regular game instead, I would not have bothered with the freeroll.
Yes those winning network freerolls take forever. But i like the concept behind them. They are basically available everyday for years now and the structure should give people an incentive to move on after a while if they dont want to waste their life completely.

They are the perfect tournaments for beginners to learn and/or to build a very small "roll".

However, there are big freerolls with you, if we also have a rebuy - two, something nice, but difficult, can be done.

Now that I've seen those statistics I realize they have no relevance to me. I don't bother browsing much back because I know why I'm in condition when I'm in good condition and without excess beer😀. Or credit that it's just luck. Such results make me try again, maybe I'll play something for $109 or $300 😉

In the beginning there are often someone open jamming for the 50BB starting stack with pretty random hands. Or at least this happened, the last two times I played these freerolls. But after a while this tend to stop, and then the slow structure (10 min blinds) does in fact make these games more like real MTTs and therefore better for learning than the hyperturbos on PokerStars or 888 Poker.

Also here I want to ask you something else. You play a freeroll, you are always the chip leader and the rebuy period follows and you are quietly underranked, what's next for you?
how are you doing

There is currently the MB 25 TICKET $11 ticket, or the $50 ticket, I recommend you participate in that one, since they don't have as many satellite jumps and it's easy to win.

As I said before I consider myself a beginner and thank you very much for all the advice and I actually look and analyze it. And as politeness prevails on this site I want to state that to see only bad side and accentuating it because you're superior really doesn't help me. I'm not bad maybe a little lower than you. Thank you very much!

At the beginning of my online poker, I tried to play freerolls as much as possible, trying to quickly gain experience and skill, and now I choose - at least 100 dollars.

The truth is that I am playing less and less poker in general, but when I did it more often I always chose those where I thought I would have a better chance of winning the prizes. salutes

My normal way of getting wifi no longer works to play on pokerstars since they think I am from Ontario when I am actually from Saskatchewan. After about 3 days of unplugging the modem and router, waiting about an hour and plugging back in I finally gave up on it. It used to work to do that but not anymore. So if I want to play for real money on pokerstars I have to create a hotspot with my cell phone and use data. My internet service provider is based in Ontario and I guess all the IP numbers are now Ontario based. Just one more reason for me not to play on pokerstars.

These are satellites that take a lot of time. Even if you get success on them the fortune limit will be exhausted in the main tournament.

Just for fun, not for money... :D

I don't play freeroll everyday, when I do usually is a CC freeroll (mostly on 888poker or PP on weekends), but I don't play all of them. I also play when there's some special freeroll with a bigger prize, like 888poker sometimes offers special freerolls. I don't play freerolls on Poker Stars, it's just too many players for a small prize.

I treat every game of Poker in the same frame of mind, I want to win. It really doesn't matter if I buy-in or if it's a freeroll, the Prize at the end of it is Immaterial, but what you do have to take into account is that I consider making the money bubble a win regardless of how high I get.
I can get as much pleasure winning a few cents in a freeroll or a couple of dollars in a buy in game, The prize is not that important, It's the position I finish in that attracts me, The higher the better, and even if I miss the top of the Prize pool by coming 2nd or 3rd or even 62nd or 63rd in a game as long as I am in the money I consider it a Win!
I do not beat myself up over a few Dollars, sure I sometimes feel I could have done better, but consistency is the key. Even the best professional players, do not Win top place in every game they play, It is just not possible, but being in the money more often than actually winning top place, you are still making a profit. and that is what is important, being profitable and keeping your bankroll moving up!

The main criterion for me is the availability of electricity in my sockets. In recent weeks, I have been without electricity for 10-12 hours. But in general, I choose tournaments based on the size of the prize pool, and where it's bigger, that's where I play. It's trite, but quite pragmatic :)

I have a friend who has ran all the way up to a main event ticket from those freerolls. So I say if you have the time, they can definitely be worthwhile.
