Is it beneficial to play in as many rooms as possible, or is it better to focus on just one?

Hi, I'm relatively new to the world of poker—I've only been studying and participating in tournaments for a few months. I've realized that there are many free options on various platforms where you can gradually build up your bankroll, but my question is: Is it feasible or beneficial for me as a player to have verified accounts on multiple platforms and play as many free games as possible, or is it better to focus on a single site and make the most of my time there? I ask because I imagine it might be a bit distracting and confusing to focus on so many platforms at once and keep an eye out for every little opportunity. I feel like, in the long run, it would affect your concentration and, in turn, your game—or is there nothing wrong with doing it?

I have been playing poker for over 10 years.
You should have verified accounts on all available sites and play in every freeroll accessible to you—especially our CardsChat freerolls. This way, you will build your bankroll, see the results of your play, and move forward with strong potential. Start small, and set a goal to finish in the money (ITM) wherever you play.

You have been playing for over 10 years, but how far have you actually made it? If you are still playing freerolls, then the honest answer is not very far at all. And this is why, I recommend the exact opposite approach. Select just one side, make a deposit there, and then try to manage this as a bankroll and grow it playing regular games and only an occational freeroll now or then. Only when you are already established as a winning player and have managed to grow your bankroll from say $100 to $500 or $1.000, can you consider to try another site.

Play as many sites as you can... 'at first'.

BUT after you've become comfortable playing for awhile, I would definitely deposit on the site you prefer the most and then gradually try to move up buy-in levels (even if that's only $0.50 MTT's, &/or $1 MTT's). You might want to deposit on another of the sites as well so you can play whatever games you feel like playing and so you'll also be able to play enough games at whatever buy-in level you're at BUT it's going to be awhile before you'll be comfortable playing on more than two tables at a time.
Make your goal to grow as a player and to move up in buy-ins. Far too many Cardschat members have fallen into the rut of only focusing on Freerolls. I know that it stunts their growth as a player. ie. you don't get better in $5 mtt's by playing only freerolls.

This is exactly the issue. It can be tempting to chase after each free $ from freerolls, daily freebees or sign-up bonuses. But free money does not help you develop your poker skills, so that you can become a winning player in regular games. So if this is your goal, you should pick a game and then play it a lot while also studying to steadily improve your skills. 3 hours spend studying will have a far larger long term EV than 3 hours spend playing a freeroll to potentially earn a few dollars. With that being said if you dont have any real ambitions with poker, then its fine to do, whatever you want, as long as you are having fun.

Hi, welcome!

For a beginner it's better to focus on 1 main site first. If you play on too many at once you will get distracted and won't improve fast.

You can keep 1-2 other sites just for freerolls to build bankroll, but make 1 site your main.

Once you feel comfortable, then you can add more sites for bonuses.

depends on the type of player you are, focus level and goal. if the goal is to win them all then less is better, if the goal is to get itm then can increase to a little more
