Back in the late 2000s when online poker was big in the U.S., I had setup 2 accounts at Full Tilt Poker. One was my main account that I would play from, and the other was basically my dumping account where I would take 3/4 of my profits from tables and stash it so I would have a reserve that wasn't immediately available if I hit a tilt session and wanted to throw all my money at a situation because emotions got hot. It forced me to log out of the main, log into the dumping account, and then make the decision to transfer funds. Added a time/emotion buffer to the equation that probably saved me a fair amount of money.
Just to be clear, as a matter of principle, I never was logged into both accounts at the same time.
Does/Has anyone else done this?
