I think this is due to the greed of the PS management. They reduce promotional costs every year and think that players will not leave them.

Everyone noticed this decline at PokerStars. If you compare how PokerStars was, say, 5 years ago and what it has become now, then it is obvious that PokerStars is losing its position, its popularity and its players.

If it has been decreasing and everything is due to the decisions that its directors have made, I don't think they are thinking about the good of their clients unlike GGPoker which has been increasing the number of online players.

I believe pokerstar need to do some changes in order to be the best site again, lots of people are playing in other rooms.

The number of players is decreasing every year. I remember when I started playing poker, my first poker account was created on PokerStars, it was 2016. Then, in the evenings, the number of online players reached 100-120 thousand, and sometimes even up to 140 thousand on weekends. It was impressive. Now PokerStars is no longer the market leader, unfortunately it has lost its position.

Did not know about this shared player pool, but that is probably the reason. Would be pretty weird, if there were now suddenly more than twice as many cash players on Svenska Spel as on 888.com. But at least it means, you can now find some action there, so maybe worth giving a try one day

Exactly. PokerStars hosted CC freerolls daily for many years, and now, that these are gone, they are suddenly the worst site ever, and they will soon go bankrupt. A classic case of sour grapes

they are going for the worse every month , that's for sure , their rakeback now is worse for micro players like me , their freerolls are less . i do not know for sure if players are less now at pokerstars , hopefully this is not true . i read above that this is observed in every almost poker room . maybe things will get better in the future
