This is partly why I don't play cash tables. This is the same as playing the slot machines. You will always be in the red.

I prefer to believe that status poker is an honest and secure site.
I don't know if there are bots, would someone not have denounced if there were?
Well I don't know, I want to believe they are a trustworthy site.

i don't believe in this, check that pokerstar has actually less activity, micro sit&go with big field like $0.02 (990 players) and $0.1 (360 players) take a lot of time to fill.

If it's true I'm not going to be happy having played on stars for 13 years, I have had alot of unbelievable bad beats and whenever I questioned stars integrity I was told I would be banned from the site. Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yC710q2ohA
They always existed and always will exist. The internet has never been 100% secure and never will be. This is physically impossible.

I don't think they would chance something like that ever being discovered. They make way too much money as it is and to do that and get caught would bring them down for sure.

Yes there are bots, they have been around for a while but most sites like pokerstars are aware and have a system in place to detect them as much as possible...

Bots

In order not to lose money to the "machine", at the first suspicion, try to recognize whether you are playing with a poker bot or with a live person. The easiest way to do this is to have a conversation that poker bots are not exactly focused on. Try to communicate with your opponent in the chat on certain topics. If there is a response, everything is fine.

It seems to me that any failure can be attributed to anyone. On bots, on terrorists, on the full moon, on mosquitoes, and so on. In fact, it remains only that you have lost the current game. And you're upset. But if you play better in the future , you will immediately forget about past doubts. These are questions of psychology rather than the honesty of pokerstars.

in 2009 this might (might) ring true (to a certain degree) ... but today I'd guess that 90% of players don't even have chat on

Yes you can spot them.

4 Ways to Spot a Poker Bot

The player takes about the same amount of time to act every hand.

The player doesn't answer to moderator in the chat or to an alert.

The player plays for unreasonable amounts of time.

The player plays an unreasonable amount of tables.

Yeah you're so right, people nowadays do not like to chat. It is really difficult to ask everyone on the table if they are bots or not.

You come across this topic again and again and if people keep losing to bad beats then they believe that it is because of the bots or that the poker site is being cheated and everything is questioned. This shouldn't be possible on reputable sites because there are bots and they don't need it because they are already getting enough money from other sites. But there are always people who try and they are mostly caught with it and then banned from the site. But there will always be people who try again and again to play with bots, I think so too. I remember pokerstars once asked their players that if you see strange incidents at the tables you should report this to the support. I don't know if everyone got this message but I remember getting one. That's why you can't 100% rule out the fact that there are no bots, but I'm sure that pokerstars will do everything possible to prevent this as much as possible

I think if any site is rigged, or suspect some players use BOTs, I simply walk away, and that is the best solution to that kind of situation. I have played on Pokerstars for around 20 years now and never found any reason to doubt their integrity or security.
I have trolled the internet on the use of BOT software, Not! to use them personally, but to see if it was possible to use this type of software on my favorite poker sites, and Pokerstars has the best security systems in the business.
Sure there could be new BOT systems that come out and are therefore hard to detect but that is one of the main reasons Pokerstars regularly update their software in order to combat new BOT software.they did have
I still feel confident to play on Pokerstars because of their security systems, and also the fact that on-line I only play for fun, I don't gamble serious money on-line, and a cheat would not bother to play low stake poker games.
I like to save my bigger buy-in games for live games in a club or Casino, where I can see my opponents and watch them closely to see if they are trying anything, on one particular night I noticed two players colluding, after a few hands I got up and walked away.
I knew they were friends and have been caught out cheating at other casinos where they were banned, so I just went to the Casino they were banned from.

When the fun Stops, STOP!

My only suspicion was at BOL anytime I play tournaments I see top 5 is almost same all the time
I did not pay attention to that before but how it happens? They may be great players but all the time being at top 5-10?

It is easy enough to verify this.
Write down those player's screenames (or better yet, take some screenshots), then run those players names on a site that tracks results and you'll then see exactly what position they are placing in. I'd be willing to wager that they are not in the top 5 of a tournament even 10% of the time... never mind the claim of 100%
