Oh, you know what, I don't even know. It's been so long since I've been able to play for real money at Stars, I don't remember. I think they do get a rake. So...that makes it ever more strange that home games isn't allowed.

Yes so the payoff is the same as in regular games, which fulfills the German requirements..anyway, we wait and hope for better times.

All poker games must have a stake on which taxes can be levied and at the moment the 1 cent buy-in is enough, which will definitely not be enough for the German state in the long run and they will also close this loophole. (As I know it )

It is also possible that Pokerstars will not continue to maintain the 1cent freerolls if the numbers continue to drop!

The freerolls from Pokerstars like for the SM etc. are, to be honest, not real freerolls, because how lucky do you have to be to make it into the ticket ranks for the next round with 1K chips at the beginning?

That's why these supposed freerolls have a rebuy and an add-on and bring in money and therefore taxes.

As for the freerolls from CC and other providers, these are not direct gambling providers and are not subject to gambling addiction law.

All of this is somehow related to the Home Games and maybe it's due to missing licenses, I guess.

that's what the new rules mean they do what they want and how they want, and we ordinary people can only agree to this or leave their site so the decision will always be on their side well there's nothing to be disappointed because there are other games

I'm glad that the leaderboard and the chests are still active here in Austria. A few small challenges are also still possible. At least a bit of rakeback is achievable with it.

Was this for the home games you were registered to before they were discontinued? And you were not randomly kicked out during the tournament (like it happened to me after one hour)? Maybe it's different because yours were play money 🤔

I'm a bit mad at Stars, they are refusing to refund my buy-in for the home game they kicked me from halfway through. They basically say it is my fault, I should have known I wouldn't be allowed to play. But I think it was reasonable for me to assume that I would be allowed to play since they didn't unregister me and the tournament popped up as normal... It's only $1.10, I won't die, but it's the principle of the thing that annoys me,,,

I got an error message at the beginning of the game but I was still able to play and I wasn't kicked out either. I kicked myself out

maybe because it was just play money. the fact that they don't refund you the money is really pathetic for PS they should have canceled and not blamed you really ridiculous!

How should you have known ? As far as I know they didn't specify when exactly Germans will get excluded .
The sad thing is though I'm not surprised that they are refusing.
If I were you I wouldn't give up just yet for the refund .

A couple of years ago there was a ban in Hungary as well, legal issues....Fortunately, things were settled later and Stars became available again! So don't give up on it completely, just in case you can play again later!

I asked before and no one answered me.

I'm just wanting to understand the situation for the German members, if you can't play the home games anymore, but you keep playing the other Cardschat freerolls on Pokerstars, I would like to know what the difference is.

I also read that the German colleagues will also no longer have the monthly 1K freeroll.

If someone can explain it to me I would appreciate it, I'm just curious about such a situation.

I apologize for my ignorance, but certain subjects I take a while to understand until I get all the pieces together.

I sympathize with all the German members, and I hope that your government backtracks and you get back to playing.

We also do not understand. It's a decision based on Pokerstars based on the new regulation. But as we see it, home games are not forbidden - same as freerolls.

Yes, the special games for German players have been discontinued by Pokerstars. But we also do not entirely understand why, since other freerolls are still available.

But Wolfi is in discussion with Pokerstars about the outlaw of these regulations.
