PokerStars revoked my privileges

So I went to play a few games today looking forward to the monthly freeroll and other tourneys I planned to play today and got a rather strange message from pokerstars 🤬 they told me they are trying to sort it out but thanks to them I miss Saturday horse racing and all the great tourneys available today as well as all cardschat freerolls 🤦‍♂️ Sorry for the rant but I’m very annoyed 🤬😞

Did happen to me on multiple ocassions 2 years ago, couldn't register for any tourney ..
They never said why but the "investigation" always ended with reinstating my playing privileges.
Maybe you're in luck and it will happen today

It lasted only a few hours when I had that problem

It could be cursing also . But 24h is quite long for a timeout^^
I would go to the Livechat in the PS App.
They usually answer immediately.
State your problem , be polite about it .
Maybe there's an update already concerning your ominous ban

They told me the department dealing with it is extremely busy at the moment so I have to be patient 🤦‍♂️

Is ur account already verified?

In this case its best to forget about the site for a moment and play somewhere else. They will not sort this out soon it seems and you will go crazy watching hour for hour pass and nothing is happening.

I tell you this will can take more days if not week depending on what is the problem here.

Register at GG and play there for a while.
Also we have 4 freerolls a week there

But you need to follow a referral link from CardsChat so your account is linked otherwise you won't see the freerolls scheduled .
They have great deposit bonuses , daily free ticket, and by completing missions in the "honeymoon challenge" you can earn even greater tickets and cash prizes.
Interface is quite different from PS and really nerdy but you'll get used to it 😁

I've been at pokerstars since 2012 and for the first time I hear that they banned anyone from playing. They won't do it without a reason. Either you broke the rules or they have suspicions about your account.

Obviously it sucks to come under investigation and have your account frozen. But if you did not break their TOS, then likely it will eventually be resolved, and as players we want there to be security, so that potential cheaters are caught. So just be patient and cooperate with the security team, if they contact you. And as others have suggested, consider playing somewhere else in the meantime. Having accounts on at least two different sites is always a good idea, since it gives a backup option not only for a situation like this but also for times with scheduled maintenance or server problems.

Maybe you broke one of their rules. When I just arrived on Pokerstars this thing happened to me: I once had a calculating poker software open on my pc when I launched Pokerstars. I IMMEDIATLY received a warning from Pokerstars, explaining that this software was not allowed... and that it was the first and last warning before banishment.
So they are strict . But they generally warn you before punishing.

Just for information I made this mistake I think 4 times, and luckily nothing has happened apart from getting these emails. Which I think is also fair, since I never played a single hand, while the software (Equilab or ICMizer) was running. Like you I just forget to close these programs before opening the poker client.

Another possibility is, that they have become unsure about the psycical location of OP. When I moved from Denmark to Sweden, I took my danish mobile internet with me and continued to play on PokerStars.dk without thinking much about it. However after a while the PokerStars software apparently figured out, that hmmm... maybe this guy is not in Denmark..., and then my account was frozen. I then send them documents about my new adress, and after a month or so my account was transferred to the swedish license, and my playing previleges reinstated.

Apparently they froze my account due to being concerned about how much I spend on there 🤔🤔 but I find it incredibly amazing how they only took the action to freeze my account when I asked them to delete and block casino on as permanent basis as it’s a complete money drain and never pays anything! …. I then won on sports the same night I asked them to do this for me and obviously not having casino to play I withdrew my winnings (for a change) and oh no…. They obviously didn’t like that at all so apparently NOW I have a problem 🤔🤦‍♂️😂😂 it just shows how dirty their company actually is and how they absolutely adore losing players and want to keep them losing but it’s a completely different situation when you start winning with minimal ability to lose on their balance draining casino 🤔

By making such a request you gave them reason to think, you have a gambling problem, and then they are legally obliged to stop you from playing. This is part of their responsible gaming policy. Also if you wrote something in the email about "complete money drain" and "never pays anything" like a sort of rant or complaint, then they absolutely have to conclude, you are unhappy about your gambling losses and can not be allowed to continue playing. What you should have done instead is to just manually set your limit for casino games to "dont play". I have done this, and my account is not frozen

No its not the fact, you withdrew money. I have done that many times, and so have a lot of other players. Its the fact, that you requested the restriction for casino games to be a permanent one rather than one, you could ask to have changed with 24 hours notice, like I can. And potentially what you wrote, when you asked support to permanently block you from casino games. Moral of the story is, that if you dont want the responsible gaming department to take action and close your account, then dont give them a reason to do so

Tell me exactly how they are acting on my instructions and exactly how I omitted to tell you anything? (Not that I had to 🤔) in no way did I think it was connected in any way to me blocking my casino section…. So how exactly could I tell you that?
I seriously do not understand the logic begin your reply in this thread? And it isn’t well done PS at all they left me 4 days with a frozen account with no reasoning behind it at all!! So why exactly should I be thanking them? As it happens my account is up and running again but I think maybe someone (you!) should go back to bed and wake up on the correct side of it 👍🏻

I get what your saying I did it because let’s face it their casino is in-fact a rip off…and I wanted it this way. It in no way says I have a gambling problem/issue it’s simply what I wanted and sensible in my eyes was the approach to completely get rid of it…. I seriously had no idea it was in relation to me asking for the casino to be blocked… it’s not like they blocked me straight away it was a good while after… so I guess I was a bit dumb not putting 2 and 2 together, but I was more annoyed they gave me 0 information and left me in limbo for 4 days like wtf is going on..? Thier chat was useless they told me nothing at all… it’s all sorted now I have my account up and running again 👌🏻

Ok thats good to hear. But I still think, this thread can serve as an important warning to others. There have been a few examples in the past, where someone sent messages to a poker site complaining about their bad luck or similar, and then much to their surprice this resulted in actions being taken by the responsible gaming department
