Problem after the latest WPT update

Hey everyone, is anyone else having trouble opening WPT Global after the latest update? Mine gets stuck on the initial loading screen and never gets past it.

I’ve tried opening it again, but the problem is still the same. Is anyone else experiencing this?

No, it's fine. But there really isn't a platform with more updates than WPT—and not just in poker. I think the Guinness Book of World Records needs to be called in. Nothing in the world has more updates than WPT.

The same thing is happening to me; I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the App several times, but it still doesn't work.

It’s working fine on my tablet after the update; the problem is only on the PC.

The next step is to contact WPT support and report the issue—you should do the same.

Indeed! And instead of just downloading the new corrections, the platform asks you to download the entire package.

You need to enable location services to play: new platform rules. I think it's the only platform that asks for this; It makes no sense at all. It's just a way to collect more information from users.

- Turn on location
- Allow Apps to access your tasks
And if it doesn't appear in the list, create a desktop shortcut and also enable this other option:
"allow desktop apps to access your location"

One more thing to try. Adjust your pc clock to be synchronized with theirs.

I also had trouble logging into WPT. A week ago, they asked me to verify my documents and confirm my location. Confirming your location is easy to do on your phone. If you're having login issues, you just need to change the DNS server in your computer's internet settings, and that should solve the problem.

Thanks to everyone who replied and shared their experiences! It looks like I’m not the only one having this issue. I’ll wait for the next WPT Global update and hopefully they’ll fix it.

It’s probably the same issue, you need to adjust the location to fix it. These are the platform's new rules that they don't warn you about.

I am having the same issues with 888. Does anyone have any ideas? I cannot get in when clicking on the agree to new terms and conditions in 888 from the August 05 2026 update in terms.

I had no issues with it. Yesterday was actually the first time I've played on there in quite a while. I was surprised to see how few people were playing... hmm... maybe it's because they can't even get on the site.

Thank you for your response! I checked and the location is enabled on my device. Even so, I’m still having the same issue when trying to launch WPT Global after the latest update. I have also sent an email to support explaining the problem and I’m currently waiting for a response. In the meantime, I’ll wait for the next update to see if the issue is resolved.

mine is working normally. I would recommend contacting 888 support through Reddit, as they may be able to help you resolve the problem. I hope you manage to find a solution soon!

For what it's worth, I haven't had any issues with WPTGlobal on a Mac in Canada. I don't do anything special wrt. location or other permissions.

I am having issues however with the guy sitting next to me. Plays too many hands and wins most of them.
