Verification Issue at 888 Poker

Hi ,
One week ago i create my account on 888 i made my first deposit with paypal 20$ ,
My account was suspended while i was playing a 5$ tournament with more than 350 players , i was 4th and we were 18 left, i had good chances to make a decent payout .
i received this email :

This is the Operations Team at 888poker and we are contacting you with regards to your account with username "gazgouz".

Restrictions have been placed on your account until we receive and validate the following documents in order to authenticate your personal details.
A copy of any credit card(s) used to deposit (front & back). Please be sure to cover the middle eight digits of your card number and the three digit code located on the back of the card.
A copy of your ID, Passport or Driver's License.
To upload the requested documents, click on the "Verify Now" button below to the safe cashier and follow the instructions.

Alternatively you can photograph your document(s) and send via MMS to +44 786 003 2111.

Please note that this is a UK number, and any MMS messages will incur a cost as per your network provider.

In the meantime, any withdrawals you have pending may be held in process or returned to your bankroll.

You will be notified when your documents have been received and verified. "

Is this a joke ? how can they disable my account while i'm playing a tournament ??? is this even legal ?
ok so i've sent my documents one week ago and sent them many email but they keep ignoring me , what can i do to reactivate my account ?
Can you help me in this forum?

its sick to make deposit before verifying account, at any poker room, everywhere! all rooms i play first what i do after registration is sending my documents to security or verification deparment, then, if everything is ok, ill play. for sure its your mistake, and for sure 888 is one of the best site i know

How do you think they know how old are you when u didnt sent ur doc first?
maybe you have no 18 y.o.!

Very well said, I am in complete agreement. So many times I have seen players posting that they have run up say 500$, 1000$ or even more than that on a poker account before they even bother to test if they can withdraw or not. The morale is, you should verify your account and make at least one withdrawal before spending too much time running up your account.

Completely agree with onondaga. Just send all documents to the support first, let them verify your identity and age and then start playing. They wouldnt let you withdraw your winnings anyway without verification. You can prevent situations like this one in the future.

In a 20$ deposit you started with a 5$ buy in? I think that 888poker make a good and cautionsly action due to prevente any type of suspected new user and without any document confirmation of your ID.
I plat at 888poker and the support was alllways very good to me, including they gave me two new tickets, when I asked for them to replace my expired unexpected giveaway ticketes [I have used my gold points to buy 3 tickets, but the tournament and three day after]. I had used only one ticket and they gaved me two ticket of the showers tournament.

These documents are always required by Poker sites after a deposit or before withdrawal. Unfortunately the timing of 888poker was very bad in his case.

Thats just an option! And you can use it like you want, to be sure everything is ok and you are eligible to play sent doc first!

I have never sent any documents to 888 and I have never been treated like the OP, they don't just suspend anyone's account without a reason.

They are not ignoring you, re read the above.

This Is out-right Insane, how In the world, can they actually suspend you during a game with 18 players left while you're In 4th place? What really Is bothering me about this, Is the fact that they took your buy-in for the game, let you play down to 18 players, and then all of a sudden decided to suspend you? I mean really?

Why even let you enter the game In the first place, If their was an Issue with your account? While I admit I don't play on 888 poker other than the CC games, and that I really don't like the site In general, this though makes me even like them less, than I already did.

I hope you sort everything out, and I hope they at-least gave you the winnings for placing In w/e spot you placed In the game In the end when you just folded away your stack

To avoid such troubles is to transfer the Deposit need to pass the test ID. I did just that. Sent copies of passports. A day later came the confirmation of the ID verification.

I wonder why they even let people participate in their games before they sent every document needed. Seems scummy and shady to me, not every new player knows about verification.

Have you contacted their support? I experienced a similar situation about a month ago. I was playing on their cash table and wanted to buy more chips when I got an error saying there were having technical issues. I emailed them about it and they gave me $10 for the hassle. Just explain to them what happened. The good thing about having a lot of poker rooms is they are really trying to get your business.

I may be having a senior moment here, but can you actually use Paypal, to make a deposit with online poker sites. If not, then that may be your problem. Good luck with getting it sorted with 888.

Always verify your documents before having any good amount on any room.
Last year I made $4000+ in 2 weeks from 0 and 888 put hold on my account. It took a week to get verified but now everything is charm.
