Women's tennis is very good; Justine Henin V Amelie Mauresmo was a great match up on grass courts. Henin's first serve and beautiful single-handed backhand was joyful, Mauresmo's attacking style, lots of fun.

Women's hockey is really getting exciting with a few other teams getting better - so not just Canada v USA anymore so much. Also love women's golf including amateur especially now that they can play each year at Augusta.

In the 1970s, I was a line umpire at professional tennis tournaments. I got to see the best players on earth close up. As a spectator now, I actually enjoy the women's game more. The men's game is so much about power, with usually shorter rallies. Most women players must use their brain as well as their brawn to win...they seem to employ strategy to a greater extent that merely blowing opponents off the court with sheer force.
