midfieldies
yeah it is a really broad position and you have to analyze a lot of things since some midfielders are more attacking than others.
1- Kante
2- Pogba
3- Modric
Kante and pogba both have that great intense defensing methods and they are really good attacking having great passes and shots from outside the area.

I would say:
-Lionel Messi: the best of the best out there. He still leads Barcelona to the title for one more time. He is THE BEST.
and after him:
-Miralem Pjanic
-Kevin De Bruyne
These are the three midfielders I like the most nowadays.

Personally my opinion is that Messi is a player that was born with the skills he has, his dribbling, shooting and passing is something that you can tell is natural and that with training has gotten better.
Cristiano on the other hand is more like a machine, he has a lot of determination and with constant training he has reached top level futbol.
In my opinion everyone that has the determination since a young age to become a professional futbol player can do so. If you play it everyday and constantly try to improve your physical and mental level you can achieve it.
I agree with you. Both of them are great and have many fans. Who is the best is arguable, though. I like both of them. Messi has the best dribbling and really good imagination. On the other hand, Ronaldo's physics, together with his determination to win makes him something like the ultimate striker. Both are legends for sure.
