the reports on Ant-Man is that he practiced today and is 'pushing to play' (it will be a GTD), which is insanely surprising because the injury from G4 vs. Denver looked terrifying* I'm not sure it will help the team if he forces a return...
Well, I was way off on this one and I have to give a lot of credit to Chris Finch, a coach I don't really like, that came up with a very good strategy for Ant-Man's minutes (coming of the bench for some minutes here and there, while leaving 10 minutes for the 4th Q * to keep him under the 25 minutes restriction), he was IMO the MVP of the game with 18 pts, 3 reb, 3 ast (62% FG, 2/3 - 3 pointers), but 11 pts were in the 4th Q when the Spurs seemed to had taken back the momentum and maybe run away with the W... also, I've made a bit more research on his left knee injury (I won't even talk about the right knee injury he was dealing with going into the Denver Series), this was an injury that requires 4-6 weeks and this guy is back and stealing a game from the Spurs after only 9 days- he might be the real life Wolverine lol

A bet from UCL for today and I'll back the Gunners to win and advance to the Final, at this stage of the competition and/or where the teams are so close it's easy to find arguments for any bet... what I can mention is that, this season, I followed live video a lot of the matches for both teams and Arsenal is playing much better at home (I know that this is 'normal', but it's still a bit weird for a big team like Arsenal to have such big difference in the way they play/approach the away/home games); also Atletico on the road is usually a much 'easier' opponent* still a tough one, especially in UCL... I like the odds for the hosts too...

Arsenal - Atlético Madrid 1@ 1.60 on Unibet

PS. We'll have 2 games from NBA Playoffs for tonight and like @john_entony - I also like Detroit to win the Series (vs. the Cavs) and especially at home I expect (easy) wins for the Pistons... while OKC is just looking too strong for any team left in the Playoffs, sigh, I hope Luka will be back soon and hopefully manage to do some Ant-Man sh*t lol - most likely a blowout in G1...

Los Angeles Lakers @ Oklahoma City Thunder: Los Angeles Lakers (+ 14.5) /// 2.00

Last bet lost.
I get the feeling that the entire Philadelphia roster spent several days celebrating their win over Boston, and only Paul George was the bus driver. :ROFLMAO: To be honest, I can’t find any other reason. And for some reason, I have a feeling that Philadelphia will be able to challenge the Knicks in this series. My betting score is MLB 210-196 in favor of successful, NBA 218-235 in favor of unsuccessful, NHL 10-18 in favor of unsuccessful, NFL 8-12 in favor of unsuccessful.
New bet: Los Angeles Lakers on the road will not lose to Oklahoma City Thunder by more than 14 points in the 1st game of the series. The Lakers lost only once to Houston by more than 6 points in their 6-game first-round series. Oklahoma City won only once by more than 13 points against Phoenix in their 4-game first-round series. As a Lakers fan, I can also note the Lakers' very solid defensive play (average defensive actions: 14, total steals and blocks) and an incredibly high average three-point shooting percentage of 38.67%. Oklahoma City’s average three-point shooting percentage is 36.75%, and their average defensive stats are 15 (total steals and blocks). In other words, I don’t see the Lakers as underdogs in the upcoming game. I estimate the real odds at 65 to 35 in Oklahoma’s favor, no more, and that’s only because of home-court advantage. Bet? Absolutely!;)

Tonight in CL

Bayern vs PSG

Bayern @1.60 (in 90 minutes)

It is simple as that - they have to win tonight to have any chance to qualify to the final or atleast force ET and make opponents suffer for 30+ more minutes

Minnesota Timberwolves @ San Antonio Spurs: San Antonio Spurs (- 7.5) /// 1.60

Last bet lost.
Unfortunately, Austin Reaves had another failed game in these Playoffs. And he's the second option on offense after LeBron James. Well, once again I realize that betting on the Lakers is a bad idea, since I'm a fan of this team. I tried to be objective, but I couldn’t pull it off. My second prediction was definitely a Detroit win by 4 points or more, since I’ve written before that Cleveland is the underdog and the Pistons will advance to the Eastern Conference Finals with confidence. Most likely in 5 games. My betting score is MLB 210-196 in favor of successful, NBA 218-236 in favor of unsuccessful, NHL 10-18 in favor of unsuccessful, NFL 8-12 in favor of unsuccessful.
New bet: San Antonio Spurs at home will beat Minnesota Timberwolves by 8 points or more in the 2nd game of the series. I think this is an obvious bet for everyone, and I doubt many people believe that De'Aaron Fox and Victor Wembanyama will once again flop on offense. And yes, Anthony Edwards’ participation is in question, as he was on limited minutes in the 1st game of the series. Bet? Of course!;)

This was a close game and IMO an undeserved 1-0 win for the Gunners (some bad referee mistakes in this one and at least the most important one/s went the hosts way), but I'll gladly take it lol (y)

Really good period lately and hopefully we'll be able to keep it up and build a good momentum for the summer (some great competitions coming up in June/July...); so let's try 1 bet from Europa League for today:

Aston Villa - Nottingham Forest 1@ 1.75 on Unibet

1st leg result was a 1-0 win for Nottingham, so the hosts need to get a W by at least 1 goal to send the match to extra-time and I've seen them as huge favorites before the Series as Unai Emery is an 'Europa League expert' (he has been in 5 Europa League Finals and won 4 - pretty insane results as a coach in this competition...), even though Nottingham is in pretty good form lately - I'm going with the hosts for this one, I don't expect it to be easy but at this odds is worth trying * also it's @ 2.10 for Aston Villa to qualify, but I'm not a fan of this one as for the last few seasons I'm on a very bad run with games decided in extra-time, especially the ones that went to penalties...

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Detroit Pistons: Detroit Pistons (- 3.5) /// 1.90

Last bet won.
If someone asked me what the word “dominance” means, I'd show them the 2nd game of the series between San Antonio and Minnesota. :ROFLMAO: San Antonio destroyed Minnesota, and it was the easiest game to predict in these Playoffs. My betting score is MLB 210-196 in favor of successful, NBA 219-236 in favor of unsuccessful, NHL 10-18 in favor of unsuccessful, NFL 8-12 in favor of unsuccessful.
New bet: Detroit Pistons at home will beat Cleveland Cavaliers by 4 points or more in the 2nd game of the series. Cleveland didn’t play as badly in the 1st game of the series as I expected. But even that wasn’t enough to compete against the Pistons. I expect to see a weaker performance from the Cavaliers in the upcoming game. Detroit will play at the same high level they showed in the previous game, and there’s a good chance that we’ll see more points from Jalen Duren and Cade Cunningham. Bet? Absolutely!;)

San Antonio Spurs @ Minnesota Timberwolves: San Antonio Spurs (- 4.5) /// 1.80

Last bet won.
Yes, Orlando gave Detroit a second chance in these Playoffs when the Magic lost the 6th game of the series. And I have to admit that Cade and his team took advantage of that opportunity and very confidently made the score 2-0 in the series against Cleveland. I wouldn’t even be surprised if Detroit swept this series, though I still think everything will end in 5 games. My betting score is MLB 210-196 in favor of successful, NBA 220-236 in favor of unsuccessful, NHL 10-18 in favor of unsuccessful, NFL 8-12 in favor of unsuccessful.
New bet: San Antonio Spurs on the road will beat Minnesota Timberwolves by 5 points or more in the 3rd game of the series. I don't think Minnesota's home-court advantage will be enough to save them. I seriously doubt the Timberwolves are capable of surprising us in any way in this series. I love absolutely everything about San Antonio: steals, blocks, rebounding, fast breaks, and versatility on offense. If Denver was built to suffer in games against Minnesota, then the Timberwolves were built to suffer in games against the Spurs. The 1st game of the series was, you know, like when in soccer the underdog scores a goal in the first 5 minutes of the first half, and then allows 5 goals in a row. Something similar happened in the 1st game of the series. That angered San Antonio and added them even more motivation. Bet? Sure!;)

In poker, betting tells a story. The best predictions come from paying attention to stack sizes, betting patterns, table position, and your opponents' tendencies. When all the pieces fit together, your decisions become much more accurate and profitable.

It was a very good performance from the hosts and a way easier win (and qualification to the Final) than I've expected * FT 4-0 (y)

I'll stay with teams from Premier League to start the weekend and hopefully we'll continue the good run:

Brighton - Wolves Brighton AH(-1.25)@ 1.58 on Unibet

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Los Angeles Lakers: Los Angeles Lakers (+ 8.5) /// 1.90

Last bet won.
And this is my 3rd winning bet in a row! But there’s no doubt that San Antonio won thanks to Victor Wembanyama. To be honest, I bet a large amount of money on the Spur's victory (in addition to my main prediction on the forum), and I cashed out early with a 40% profit when the score was 77-70 in favor of San Antonio. My nerves just couldn’t take it, since I realized that I was essentially relying solely on Victor Wembanyama’s success. I couldn’t afford to take such a big risk, as Stephon Castle and De’Aaron Fox played very weakly, while I had expected to see more consistent offensive play from them. My betting score is MLB 210-196 in favor of successful, NBA 221-236 in favor of unsuccessful, NHL 10-18 in favor of unsuccessful, NFL 8-12 in favor of unsuccessful.
New bet: Los Angeles Lakers at home will not lose to Oklahoma City Thunder by more than 8 points in the 3rd game of the series. Actually, I’m betting on this game only because the other match between Detroit Pistons and Cleveland Cavaliers is early, and I won’t be able to watch the live broadcast due to a busy poker schedule. So yes, today we’re betting on the Lakers. But it’s not such a bad choice, since Oklahoma City finds it difficult to play in Los Angeles, and the Thunder have won by more than 8 points in only 2 of their last 10 games here. The story with referee decisions in the 2nd game of the series should help the Lakers players show their best game. I believe in it. Bet? Sure!;)

The good run continues  both home teams with solid performances overall and well deserved 3-0 wins (y)

I've been a bit busy this weekend with some IRL stuff and missed some good events (like Arsenal for example... but it would have been a very lucky won bet as not only, IMO, the Gunners didn't deserve to win but it was a very controversial one with a goal cancelled by VAR for a foul and a penalty not awarded- both for West Ham in the added time of the 2nd half...); so I'll go for a be on El Clasico as I always watch this games:

Barcelona - Real Madrid 1@ 1.70 on Unibet

San Antonio Spurs @ Minnesota Timberwolves: Minnesota Timberwolves (to win) /// 2.50

Last bet lost.
Unfortunately, I had no choice but to bet on a game with the Lakers, a team I’ve been rooting for almost 15 years. I just couldn’t bet against them in the Playoffs. So yes, it’s doubly disappointing that the series is already 3:0 and there’s very little hope left. My betting score is MLB 210-196 in favor of successful, NBA 221-237 in favor of unsuccessful, NHL 10-18 in favor of unsuccessful, NFL 8-12 in favor of unsuccessful.
New bet: Minnesota Timberwolves at home will beat San Antonio Spurs in the 4th game of the series. Both teams will play with their optimal roosters in the upcoming game. I really liked how Anthony Edwards played in the last game. Minnesota would have won the 3rd game of the series if Victor Wembanyama had not played so incredibly well. The odds on the home Timberwolves are too attractive. I think the real odds are even in this game, so today I’m betting on the underdogs according to the bookmakers. Bet? Absolutely!;)

The Lakers could have been up in this Series as (IMO) they had their chances to get the W at many points in each game so far... those 3rd quarters were kinda the deciding factor in each of the games... also, the referees - sigh- if even the Lakers can't get at least a similar whistle as OKC than it's kinda over for the entire league... I've seen so many videos/interviews with players and coaches saying that it's so tough to play this team, as they can get away with so much on the defensive end (they foul on pretty much every possession), while you can't get anywhere close to SGA for example or it's FTs... PS. now I understand why Wemby doesn't like Chet- that flopper WOW lol * the league needs to do something about this issue... the refs even review most of this 'fouls' for potential upgrade to flagrant fouls and when they see the clear flops trey do nothing...

PS2. I also like the Wolves (especially at such high odds ) for tonight's game - I mean, Wemby can't possibly have a 10* performance like in G3, right?! while Randle (and pretty much everyone else from the Wolves side) should be much better for this G4, at home where they were so good in the Playoffs, not just this year, but for the past few years too...

Perhaps the uneven refereeing is having too significant an impact on the mental state of the Lakers players (especially Austin Reaves, who “draws” free throws like James Harden). But in the Playoffs, you have to be able to handle that. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen the Lakers players show the will to win in these Playoffs. It’s hard to expect any success without that. For example, if you compare them to Minnesota, their mental game is totally under control! They came back twice in the 3rd game of the series (in the 1st quarter from a score of 3:18, and in the 4th quarter from a score of 79:88). I’ll say it again: only Victor was able to take charge at key moments and deliver the result. So yes, I like San Antonio overall, and I’ve written about this many times before, but I’m betting on a Minnesota win simply because they’re heavily underrated by the bookmakers. ;)
