Messi currently has 817 goals in his career, do you think he reaches the 1000 goal mark in official matches?

I don't think so, he's getting older so he would need to score quite a lot in the few years he has left.
 
There is a good chance, but C.Ronaldo is already around 850 goals.
I'll be curious to see who gets there first.
 
I dont think so would be epic but he is gonna retire next years probably
 
I find it difficult because of his age, but there are chances because he is Messi. I'm Brazilian and I like to see Messi play, I wanted him to reach that mark.
 
It is unrealistic to score 1000 goals, it all depends on the situation around him, comfort and surroundings. Of course I wish he could play forever😎

Hello, Foldcallraise! By my opinion, for Lionel Messi this is Main target on the present time!
I think, He very wants to hit in this Club's players, who scored 1000 Goals!
 
If he stays in that weak American league called MLS for a couple of years he will probably reach it. The defenders are horrible.

Also if my buddy Haaland decides to switch to MLS later in life he will probably reach 1000 goals.
 
He is 36 years old man. Score almost 200 more sound like crazy.. impossible.
 
Whether he scores or doesn’t score doesn’t matter, he proved that he is the best in history😉
 
He is in a league where he is scoring a lot of goals. If he plays for 4 seasons he will have the opportunity to reach 1000 goals in his career.
 
Well if he keeps on form and out of fatigue and injury of course yeah …mls is about spectacle for him so he will continue scoring and also with Argentina
 
he should play for at least another 5 or 6 years with an average of 30 goals a year.. quite hard to believe
 
He is playing against my team here in Atlanta next Saturday. We have season tickets but couldn't resist selling them for $275 each since they only cost us $43 each. We are going to check Fri/Sat morning to see if any decent ones are for sell for about $50-60 so we can still go to the game.

I don't think that he'll be able to reach that score, but I'd really love to see that happen
 
Considering the league he is playing in at this time. He could get there but to be honest at his age this maybe a bit put of reach.
 
Everything depends on how much more he will play. With his style of play, he could very well play for another 10 years passing in midfield and scoring from free kicks and long kicks. But the number 900-950 is more likely

I don't think Messi will be able to score 1000 goals for the rest of his career. Yes, Lionel is the idol of Argentine soccer. But for example, when speculating whether LeBron James will hit 40,000 points in the NBA, I agree, as it is realistic. But Messi and 1,000 goals? Let's be realistic - it's unreal. 🤓😱
