My guess is Decathlon on the Olympics. The Guy has to be on such a great shape on 10 different sports. Very tough

It seems to me that swimmers are the most physically developed, as they are constantly forced to move in order to stay on the surface of the water.

It has to be the decathlon! They have to use every bit of there bodies to accomplish there discipline. They are fit cardio, muscular, and stretching the human body to the end degree. They are all around athletes.

Swimming, probably, as it corrects incorrect posture and harmoniously develops all the muscles in the body. If you mean physical endurance then boxing or football.

Hi.
There are many options. In general, in fact, any sport gives the athlete the opportunity to get the best physical training. Everything depends on the athlete's desire, perseverance, and goal.
Good luck.

It depends what you mean by physical condition but I would say these are some of the top:
1. Boxing
2. Soccer
3. Water Polo
4. Cross Country Skiing
5. MMA
6. Rowing
7. Ironman Triathlons

I believe that every sport has its own physical preparation, and every sport helps develop endurance, speed, and strength.

This would be up there for sure!

Personally I think the athletes that are in the best physical condition & who train the hardest of all sports are the top MMA fighters! Another very intense sport where top competitors are in unreal physical condition is flat water canoe racing.

I've competed in a number of sports including competitive swim racing, ski racing, powerlifting, bodybuilding, & boxing. I have family members who are cyclists & another who is a triathlete coach (& former competitor) & another who was competing at the World's in cross country skiing. I still say MMA fighting is the toughest with the most gruelling conditioning of all.
I could agree with Ironman athletes! 😍

But, can't agree with MMA fighters... toughest guys/girls I've ever worked is Muay Thai pro boxers...ende! My experiences! 🙂

I thought we were talking about 'best physical condition'? & fwiw, I don't think triathletes compare with MMA.

If I'm thinking of an athelte who does a single sport then maybe a fighter otherswise multievent atheltes like triathalon and decathalon

Years ago on TV, there was a show called, I think, "Superstars". The contestants were current and recently retired professional and Olympic athletes. The athletes competed in sports other than their specialty. Pole Vaulter Bob Seagren was the first winner, soccer player Kyle Rote Jr. won twice in the next three years, O.J.Simpson won it once. As you can see, the winners came from a variety of sports, but all three of the winners above were from sports where running and fitness were prominent, and required a combination of fast twitch explosive speed, mixed with endurance.

Comparatively speaking, which sport has athletes in the best overall physical condition?
Swimming, running, and football

I would say crossfit and decathlon, as bothe these sports require the athletes to be able to be powerful, explosive, fast, and have endurance.
All round qualities.
