Hi Dara, What is the adjustment needed when the other players are playing like it is a normal MTT vs a satellite? Thanks.
Tighten up!

Hi, Dara!
Do you think satellites are indicated to average players? Is it easier or harder to get good results than in sit and goes and mtts?
I definitely recommend them! Fields tend to be softer, even good mtt players often play them badly, so if you have absorbed "Poker Satellite Strategy" very big edges are possible.

Hey Dara, can you help me with this? I want to succed with small satelites. For example, at ggpoker I can play 55 cents sats to try another sat, which leads me to another sat, and so on. The thing is that first one is kinda aggressive, since they're hyper turbo, but I'd like to play better those ones since it can help me save some money. Do I have to play all in frequently, or what kind of strategy should I follow, considering the fact that blinds raise quickly?
Contrary to popular belief, how fast the blinds increase shouldn't dictate your strategy much. Yes, when they rise very quickly, you'll reach the push fold stage much faster, but that's a result of the blinds being high, not fast. The only real difference the speed the blinds increase makes is in hypers you have to take every profitable spot, but in slower structures you can pass some barely profitable bottom of range ones.

Thanks for your question!

Hello Dara.

Have you ever broken the bankroll? Is it common nowadays for you to face bankroll reduction due to satellites?

You are a person who has a lot of experience in satellites and I'm sure you've tried a lot of strategies, which are the main points you need to follow and how different it is from regular MTT poker?
The main point are covered in this article I wrote

Hi

Dara OKearney

Do you think its cool for a starting gamer to play a tornaments turbo and hyper turbo?
Sure. They're good ways to start acquiring all important tourney concepts like push/fold and ICM!

Hello Dara. Name the 3 biggest mistakes in your opinion that people make in the game
I think the biggest errors tournaments players made are all ICM related, specifically calling off too wide when ICM is a consideration. There are other errors like set mining too often and not choosing good bluffs (taking backdoors and blockers into account) that I still see a lot albeit not as frequently in the past, as I explained in this strategy article

Hi Dara

In your opinion which pokersite is best to play satellites at these days.

Thanks in advance

-Question to Dara O’ Kearney:

I am in the mid stages of a tournamentwith a big stack, but there are quite few players till we get In The Money, and I am card dead. How to deal with that? Trying to make steals whenever possible or keep playing tight waiting for a good hand?

Hi Dara. After winning a large amount of money in poker, does euphoria or something like relaxation appear and you start playing less recklessly?

I congratulate you again. I started practicing satellites, but the buy-in is very low, 0.1-1$, what can you tell me about such limits?

Hi, Dara!

What are some key strategies or tips you recommend for players looking to excel in satellite games, based on your expertise and success as a satellite specialist?

Please disregard if similar question has been raised. I'll find time to backread. Thanks!

Hi Dara

How about creating a guide with the most valuable satellites on all major sites?

Something like an exact kind of step strategy where to register first for cents and then what to do with the money won to enter more valuable satellites/tournaments.

Like spending only the minimum in the beginning to get a maximal return. There are so many satellites out there, its very difficult to filter out the most valuable ones.
Interesting idea, butt I think it would be a lot of work as this is constantly changing. If I had more time on my hands I might give it a go 🙂

Hi Dara

Are you a fan of 6+ hold em/Short Deck

It seems to be very popular in the Asian scene of poker like Triton and Macua.

If you are a fan is there any material you can advise for this format.

Thanks
Haven't really got into it I'm afraid.

what poker game and what poker room is your favorite and why?
Holdem is pretty much all I know well.

Online my favourite is Unibet: good smallish field sizes, soft games, and they're done in a few hours.

Live Melbourne is my favourite place to play.

Thanks for your questions!

Hello Dara, nice to have you here. Which satellites do you recommend and in which poker room. There are a lot of satellites, including free satellites with a lot of players. For example, if you were playing the Sunday Millions on Pokerstars, where would you start playing satellites?
The Sunday Millions satellites on Stars are always good. In general though the softest online satellites are those to live events, except EPT satellites on Stars (they tend to have too many regs).

Good luck!

Hi Dara, first of all I'd like to say that I've found all of your books, which I am rereading, to be immensely helpful.

Secondly, I would like to ask you if it's correct to fold AKo multiway in late stage bounty MTTs when you have a decent stack?

Hello Dara, I just bought your GTO Poker Simplified book. I am running through some other stuff first, but am eager on reading it.

If I'm not mistaken you're an ambassador for Unibet. They want to be a site for the recreational players and therefore they don't allow HUD's (which might be good for beginners0, but they also don't have hand histories (not even anonymized).

So here comes my question (finally). I am being told over and over again to analyze my play. To study my game and find my leaks. But how do you do that when playing on a site like Unibet? Should I keep notes manually on (some/most) hands I play? It makes this part a lot harder. Do you have any recommendations, tips or advice on this topic?

please tell me what is the % of intelligence and what is the % of luck in playing poker, but it can be different

Hi.

In satellite qualifiers with multiple tiers, how do you balance grinding lower-tier satellites versus aiming for higher-tier tickets?
