When I first started playing poker, freerolls were one of the most exciting things for me. Because I was starting out and I didn't want to deposit in something I didn't know.

Over time, I noticed that some freerolls became extremely crowded and more difficult to enjoy. Even so, I think they're great for beginners and for building benches, I even crank some from time to time.

I still play a few, especially when I just want to relax without pressure.

And you?

Do you still like freerolls or have you given up on it?

I honestly like freerolls a lot, I think it's a way to generate bankrolls without investing too much. And test plays, even though you know that freerolls are an All-ins session. Lol

There's a suspicious dialogue you are have here. About freerolls: in most cases they don't cost the time you spend on them

I’m definitely losing interest in a lot of them. The all in fest style freerolls are fun for a few minutes, especially if there’s an actual prize pool or ticket attached, but the endless satellite freerolls don’t really entice me anymore. Feels like you spend a ton of time just trying to win the chance to play another tournament. I’d rather just play something with direct value up front.

I love playing freerolls, I totally agree, most freerolls are crowded nowadays, but there are also elite freerolls (private) I enjoy those more

They're still great for practicing strategies safely and relaxing. For beginners or those looking for fun, the value remains.

Well, the truth is I do play them occasionally and I get something out of them, the problem is that they get crowded and you play for hours, but hey they're fun when you reach the final stages.

I've been playing poker online for over twenty years, but I still prefer freerolls. The reason is that I have a steady income without investment and risk. What guarantees that I won't lose if I play for real money?

Of course I do, but I have the same feeling as you. I usually don’t enjoy the tournaments with huge fields as much, even though I still like them. I just feel they’re much harder to win.

That’s why I prefer the Silver or Platinum freerolls on CardsChat, since they don’t have as many players and the prizes are much better. That’s also why I recommend people keep posting messages so they can continue playing those tournaments.

I'm looking for these levels... I'll be here soon

Jogo poker online há mais de vinte anos, mas ainda prefiro os freerolls. O motivo é que tenho uma renda estável sem investimento e sem risco. Que garantias eu teria de não perder se jogasse por dinheiro real?
it's a very safe strategy, you're absolutely right.

Bem, a verdade é que eu jogo ocasionalmente e até consigo tirar algum proveito disso, o problema é que ficam lotados e você acaba jogando por horas, mas, ei, são divertidos quando você chega às fases finais.
For example, I like it too, in the final stages it really gets more exciting...

I still like freerolls
For me, it's a risk-free way to increase my balance. Sometimes I play seriously and try to go far, but other times I'm doing something else on the computer and I just bet everything or give up for fun.
The worst is when they get too full and you spend hours earning almost nothing.

I love freerolls but with all the things going-on IRL right now I don't play tournaments with large fields because of the long amounts of time that is needed for them. That's why we're so lucky to have Cardschat with freerolls of limited field of players where you could enjoy the game & chance to win something with nothing. Remind me again to thank our Cardschat staff members @Tammy @Debi @Marcwantstowin @Martin @CRStals @Andyreas @nabmom @Propane Goat GREAT GREAT WORK guys! Keep it up!

Have always been a huge fan of freerolls and will always keep on liking them in the future as well!
As you said no investment, zero pressure while playing with a free mind and always a great opportunity to build a bankroll from scratch!

Yes, freerolls can still be fun. They’re a great way to build a bankroll, practice tournament strategy, and enjoy poker without risk. The fields can be chaotic, but deep runs still feel rewarding.

How can you not like freerolls?? Several players in these tournaments throw away all their chips with ridiculous hands.

I still like freerolls for the same reasons you mentioned. They’re great for beginners, for testing strategies, and for building a bankroll without risking your own money. Sure, the fields are huge and there’s a lot of random all-in action, but that’s part of the freeroll atmosphere.
I also think freerolls can teach patience and discipline, especially if you take them seriously instead of just gambling every hand. And honestly, sometimes it’s nice to play poker with zero pressure attached to it

I still play and enjoy them…I just completed my zero to $1000 goal for the third time…it took several months…I started with freerolls, won a few, some top ten finishes and many $1 prizes…then I played some micro cash games…if I was playing 5/10 cents, I always bought in for the max and played until I busted out or doubled my money…I found that if I kept playing after doubling up, I would get reckless and cocky and end up losing. Once I built up my bankroll to $200 to $300, I played 10/25 cents, increasing to 25/50 after hitting $500.

Since I play as a hobby, I always play more freerolls. For me, the important thing is to participate in the game.
