Do you still play freerolls, or do you think they’re a waste of time nowadays?

Even players that won big money and generally play small stakes (up to 5.5) play freerolls, so, yes, go for it.
It has some luck components, but you can still find some spots.

I think this game is not about lucky players, this is about the best strategy.

I don't think it's a waste of time. It's for playing poker without risking your own. If you choose low-field freerolls, you can consistently win to build up your bankroll for real money games.

I'm a new player and i just found Cchat host a lot of free rolls. I was guided by an old friend to play those free rolls cause they're really helpful since i only play $2.2- these days. So yes, an experienced player(ultra high stake 5k+) told me that those free rolls can help a lot.

if there are good prizes or add if there are few tournaments, but the main prize is whether the time is worth the prizes, if of course there is enough skill in the game

Yes, I do still play them. I daresay most active members at Cardschat do. Yes, there is a LOT of luck involved, especially in the ones with huge player pools. But fortunately that's not the case with the Cardschat freerolls.

Depends on the room. GG, WPT and party poker are good places for freeroll. Poker stars in my opinion is no longer so good. and 888 pays really bad.

In my opinion, if you don't want to deposit your own funds into pokerroom, you have no other option than freerolls. But you need to have a lot of patience and not succumb to tilt, because especially in the early stages of such a tournament, newbies play completely unpredictably. They treat it as fun, so they don't care if they get eliminated right away.

I find freerolls to be very difficult to get in the money sometimes as the competition is tough but I still do play them.

I don't think it's a waste of time at all, in fact. You practice and don't risk your own money, and you can even win. There's no better option than this, especially if you're playing from a country where depositing money to your poker account is not allowed anyway. It obviously takes more time to build your bankroll, but I can't imagine a better option than this.

It's a waste of time not to earn free money.

Well, perhaps there is a level I'd consider freerolls a waste of time... Not sure maybe if I played at regular basis torurneys with entrance $20+?
For players from micro/low stakes I just do not see resigning from freerolls reasonable.

Consider, it is online poker, so it's almost always multi-tabling. What is the problem when 1 or 2 tourneyus in a session are freerolls? I do not see the time wasting issue at all.

I still play freerolls, and I always have enough screen space to open a couple additional tournaments. So why not try freerolls while I'm playing buy-in tournaments? After all, it's always a free opportunity to fund your bankroll.

I still play freerolls, but only the ones hosted by CardsChat. Their freerolls are the best for building a bankroll and learning how to play poker.

I still play freerolls, but nowadays I mostly only play the Cardschat ones (and only 2-3 times per week), the freebie on GGpoker and the spin'go on PS to win the free ticket.

I think the freeroll is just a publicity stunt, it doesn't have much relevance.

This is a really subjective question and you will get many different answers.

I think, if you are a winning player, even at the micros, normal freerolls are a waste of time. Sure there are special events with $1,000 or even $10,000 prize pools - these are probably worth playing. But the $50 tournaments with thousands of entrants are a huge time soaker as you can play for hours, get fairly deep and still only win $0.25.

That said, there are still a few worthwhile freerolls out there (most of which are available through Cardschat) where the fields are fairly small and so prizes aren't diluted as much and you actually have a realistic chance of winning a few buy-ins to supplement your bankroll.

The GGPoker weekly freeroll isn't a waste of time, I once won C$15 from it after a few hours of playing.

For those who play at low stakes, I think playing freerolls is essential to help build their bankroll.
