It is an interesting kind of poker game. I play it occasionally but not systematically. Because of its nature it needs more luck and less skills than the other kinds of poker games. It is like a hyper turbo tournament relative to speed. The pot is 2x most of times.Anyway it is from the kinds of games I like!

Just more carnival games. Anywasy people have these things pretty nailed down for optimal play and stuff so no need me to go in and become fish food. BUT damn it seems like these should be easy to make money but like scotty nquyen tells us NOTHING COMES EASY BABY

I like playing spin n gos on occasion but have lost lot of $100 ones chasing that million dollar dream but I have had success getting in to the $215 sunday million game from a $2.75 spin n go but beware they are a real crapshoot where I am on the giving and receiving end of hands like this on the regular below lol.:)
Good for practicing your heads up game though good luck because in this game with blinds rising fast and stacks being small you really need it.

I read the articles and really enjoyed reading about the 11bb in the SB/BB effective shoving range, I didn't really have as much of a concrete range for it. Ultimately even though it is much more variance, the games are usually super soft as people have no idea what they are doing. I ran up my inital $200 on ignition to $2200 using basically just this game. It can be high variance but the games are so quick/soft I can usually expect about 1.5 buy-ins an hour.

Different dynamic and sometimes easy money for everyone like a Russian teacher who took down 300K in one spin and go! The ranges are way different than a classic 9 ring game. I play sometimes some $0.25 on PP. I am on the profitable side. I can tell in the first two hands the play style of each opponent.

Check out a Greek grinder who beasts those akis_333 on sharkscope. I read an interview of the guy and he plays only $100 buy ins and he makes a ton of money. I can't imagine how he is doing lately with the new $500 buy in!

personally, i'm not a fan of spin and go's. i dont like high variance games that much..and you have a ridiculously high chance of getting jipped rather than getting a decent reward. most of them are 3-4 people, if the buy in is a buck the there is usually a buck missing from the prize pool. i'd rather just play a lower rake 6max hyper if i was going to grind something higher variance..but you miss out on that 100x buy in.. or the stars million dollar sit n go :p i remember watching Kmart's stream when one popped up, and it was entertaining to watch at least :)

Nice, that you have an article about this. I guess, it was one of my first questions here at the forum about Spin&Go Strategies. So yes, of course I play them from time to time. At the moment not so much. But sometimes I play them, when I have not much time or partly also beside a SNG or a MTT.
What I realized is, that you shouldn't mind, that the Jackpot is not so high and still play your usual game, because many people start to play loose and bad because of the small Jackpot like they are disappointed or on tilt. Consider it as a usual HU at this moment and then you can win some.

I often play Spin & Go, and you can play these tournaments just like any other tournament. You can play both tight and aggressive.

I love Spin n Go.

I always loved the turbo and hyper turbos even before spin n go was introduced as I do not have time or attention span to play regular speed games.

Like in any holdem game aggression goes a long way even more so in this format. Also you must have a number of different strategies that you can employ that you are comfortable with. Your opponent(s) and their playing style will determine your strategy. No one playing style will work for you every game.

I like to do the opposite of my opponent a lot. If my opponent is aggressive I be a bit passive and more selective. If my opponent is passive I try to be aggressive.

I have played these in the past. I did generally win and it did seem that the level of player I met was relatively low, it was a while ago, so that may have changed. It seemed good to have a quick format game while you were waiting for a tournament to start; but I prefer a cash game for this or maybe just to catch up on CC like I am doing now.

wow interesting article, hahaha a little more and convince me to play this mode again.
hahahaha no, now if seriously, I think it's a very good article maybe I'll play this modality even if it's just a bit to try this strategy, when I do I'll tell you how it was, I hope it improves my relationship with spin & go.
Thanks for sharing these articles!

I can take a little time to try again hahahaha, I just have to forget about the many times I was ousted by the spin & go hahaha.

very good article, I did not know the specific strategies for Spin go .... at first glance Spin go looks like luck game .... because of the aggressiveness of most players in this mode

I play Spin and Go on Poker Stars. In Spin & Go it is impossible to win by playing passively. You have to understand that your stack has only 25 big blinds, and the levels rise every 3 minutes. So when you're waiting for a strong starting hand, it may be too late and you'll only have 2-3 big blinds in the stack. Of course, this does not mean that you need to open 100% of the range, but the opening range should be wide enough. Skill games with a short stack is key in the Spin&Go strategy

If you sat down at a cash game and doubled-up in the first 10-20 minutes you'd be happy as a clam to have done so. Why not look at these games the same way?

Perhaps it's a huge rake? Direct or hidden? After all, your chance to win 1/3, but your winnings are not x3, but only x2. In fact, you pay 33% of the rake and the jackpot prize money (which you can not get).

The second obvious disadvantage is that you can not choose a table and opponents at the table. This is a real problem, because any format of the game assumes the presence of experienced regular players, who will not be deceived by your tricks. Unfortunately, poker rooms increasingly restrict the choice of tables in all games - cache, SnG (making the list of participants in SnG not made visible before the start of the game, as it is done in PartyPoker).

To alleviate these shortcomings, you need to play a sufficiently large distance - to get the right experience and to perfect your strategy of the game, and also to compensate for the big rake sometimes with falling high multipliers in prizes.

Are there other sites besides PokerStars that have games like these?
I had already commented on this article but now I can not find my comment, can someone tell me what happened with my post?

I like to play spin&go for recreation, but for that people who want to learn one more aspect of poker, spin&go becomes a great resource enabling to learn about short handed game. I have already enjoyed the lessaons I learned in spin&go.

I've been playing spin and go all the time, it's my favorite format since the introduction. despite the catastrophic dispersion, I'm pulled here like a magnet. in most cases, I lose money on this game, but sometimes the win justifies the loss. there are incredible bebity and hard bluffs. I like the dynamics of the game and the number of players. I also often watch players who play at high stakes such as $100 and $500. it's the same thing that happens at low places , but I imagine that those who lost feel. spin and go is the excitement, you can lose everything, it is very dangerous. I have carefully studied the article, I hope it will help me to become smarter. long live spin and go!

Super turbo games like spin and go can be fun. They are fast and force you to open up a bit and try to play aggressive and still play smart to win. One wrong move can cost you. In the end those this game can be harder to beat. Most of the time the multiplier will be 2 so consider needing a 50% win rate to break even.

I would like to know a strategy for spin & go, I have played them and I'm not doing very well, in pokerstars I do not like them, instead partypoker has a similar modality called sit & go hero .. if there is someone in the group who has a serious strategy of great help to the community ..

Although I am not very fond of this modality I am going to take into account these tips, many times I have tried the Spin but I think to have good results is to be aggressive because there are only 3 players and the small stack of chips, well thanks CC for sharing this interesting topic.

Lately, I'm more and more playing this kind of poker. And not only on the PS. Dispersion is, of course, very tough. However, the game helps to relax and warm up before the MTT tournament. You can also practice the game at the final tables.
