I tried Odie or two times to play them at poker room poker stars . this kind of poker I did not like . the only advice that I can give is not to play them if you do not have a very incredible lot of luck :)

Once upon a time I won at PokerStars Spin@Go tables $100 from $1, so I can`t be offended by this format!)
I like ranges presented in this article and my goal is to study them more attentive to use this information in my game. This ranges are very similar with heads-up ranges. Thank you for great article!

I have played more than thousand Spin & Goe's at Pokerstars with different success - sometimes winning and increasing my bankroll and sometimes loose my entire bankroll. Played all buy in's between 0,25 up to 7 USD. Tricky version of poker, the variance could easily kill you. As I remember, the largest win on these so far was 28 USD with 7 USD buy in, so nothing spectacular at Pokerstars.
Recently I joined BWIN, and they have the same format. But the players there are tough! Yesterday I planned to play 9 games with 0,25 entries and could not win any first 5 games. Decided to skip last 4 and spin one last 1 USD for the end of session what ended up in X6 multiplier :p Of course, I won it :D

Very good strategy for the Spin & Go's; It is true that we started with 25bb and we have to stack at the beginning and not at the end.
There is also the Spin & Go Max variant where about 20 hands play and then all the players go there; I remember once playing the Spin & Go Max and there were only two players left; the villain had less than 100 chips and I had more 2k we reached the allin and I win all the hands :(

The Spin & Go are interesting and the initial hands raised by the article are adequate but in the end it is still a roulette.

I played those spin go. I find the variation very high. I even lucked out with those tournaments. once I was drawn $ 360 but after playing all day. This game is complicated. but for what is dedicated and has emotional control it is possible to profit yes. but I blocked those games because my game is mtt even and on a bad day I was anxious to recoup the losses and was getting more grounded.

Be somewhat aggressive and use your opponents aggression against them, and don't button raise just for the sake of button raising, save those chips for when you have a hand.

Spins revealed to me my inner tilt like nothing else has ever! Neighbours must have wondered what I was screaming about every night for a while lol

It is a format I wish I had the mental strength for, as I had proved to myself that grinding a slow profit is definitely possible when level headed. The downswings and bad beats require some real mental strength and I can admit I need to work on that, so spins are currently on my avoid list and I'm trying some more pedestrian formats.

Reason I am posting is that I came across a really interesting spin and go course on Udemy a while back that I purchased for £9.99 (price varies depending on sales they have on that site I think). Author was Tadas Peckaitis. (I won't promote the link, am sure if anyone is interested you can look it up).

Anyone else looked at that course or bought it? My impressions of it were:

Pros: 1. Extremely well thought out ranges in theory (based on position, action before you and effective BBs - 18-25, 14-17, 10-14, Less than 10). 2. Ranges that cover both 3 way and heads up action. 3. Hell of a lot more complex than anything I have seen for free and I'd have say it was good value for money, definitely felt like I learnt something and it improved my play and win rate at spins.

Cons: 1. Complete lack of post flop strategy which really disappointed me (I think he has since changed the name of the course to reflect it is pre flop only). 2. Big con, the charts were not easily downloaded or bundled together. (I had to recreate nearly all of them in PokerRanger, I then screenshot and named each range and created a file using Microsoft One Note that had a bunch of tabs). 3. There are SO many charts, not sure how many people could legit memorise so many different lines to take based on position and eff BB. I tended to play with my game on one side of screen and my charts doc on the other, flicking through tabs based on the action. This was ok but made multi tabling next to impossible as I was doing very little on impulse and following the charts all the time to commit to the strategy.

I don't really like paying for content when there is so much free strategy out there for amateur players, and I'm certainly not at the stage where poker makes me enough money to justify a lot of investments like this but I certainly don't regret buying this spin and go course, opened my eyes to the ranges that people are playing when they get deep into GTO & exploitative observations which is a step above my own thinking, for the most part. The concepts/charts have uses beyond spins also, ie 3 way or heads up on final tables.

It is certainly a new poker format with blinds every 3 minutes of level and with a very short stack, the best way is to play more aggressive since some opponents will play you only with premiun cards. ,, Calling becomes pushing (small blind) this part of the article I do a lot, just read and try that sometimes the strategies you have yourself, the best way to play this format is to be aggressive in combination bets as there will be a lot of variance , and start playing the $ 0.25

the approach i take to spin n gos is to be aggressive with hands such as KQ ,KJ,AK suited KQ off , and obviously big pocket pairs if you are fortunate enough to be dealt them .. but also with low suited connecting cards blinds are usually 10/20 with a 500 stack it has wiggle room but not enough to play like you would in a normal mtt or sit n go , so you have to open up your opening range and thats what makes it all the more fun i quite enjoy the spin n go format .

If you have a good hand raise 4x 5x the blinds and three bet shove after a raise with hands like 1010 JJ AK AQ.

I do not have any strategy for this, since I do not often play it.
My game is quite aggressive, except when there is a big amount winnings, then I play restraint.

In Spin & Go I play seldom, mostly just for entertainment. This is a very dispersive game, a lot depends on luck. I try to play loose-aggressive.

Frankly speaking, i have played long ago this format of the games and even was succeded to win something worth (with good multiplier, over than 4, as i remember).
But, over again, without decent bankroll to play spin&go is not reasonable. You will not enjoy your game playing spins if you will try to play tight. This is a very challenging format of the game. Good luck!

I played in PS, PP and Fultilt. Once I won x100 for $ 1. But at the moment I blocked them, becouse I lose their money at a high rate. I think for this game you need a big bankroll for at least 200 games. The strategy I used was to double the stack at the expense of one of the players, and then squeeze out another player using the bet size.

I play aggressively, I do not think we have much of a choice, and generally there are players who come all in with either hand.

In the back I play poker stars and poker match. In me, one strategy with getting into the flop is to play very aggressively and rely on luck. These games like roulette)).

I have played in Pokerstars and Partypoker, the strategy used in this type of poker is that you can not be passive, you have to be aggressive and not be very selective or wait for good cards to play a hand
I heve same to say about it there is to low time and bb amount to play tight.

Thank you for the article. I have not managed to win anything in this format. Too much depends on what the wheel turns. I try to avoid such games, I rarely play +

I like playing spin n gos, they are fasted passed and fun. The variance can get to me if I play 50-100 in session so I try to set a limit of 20-25 when I play them.
The one thing I would disagree with in the article is SB vs BB play, I think limping more from the SB is better than upping your open because people tend not to fold anyway even if you make 4x people will peel. Limping the very bottom and very top of your range works well and raising 4-5x with hands that flop well and have good post flop playability.

I think spin and go games are profitable for PS because they charge 100% cominison of a player's entry, also being hyper turbo tournaments it is very difficult to play only good hands and we end up opening garbage hands looking for more luck than a good game
