that's the beauty of poker, where you can take on any player and beat him, as long as you are prepared as well. anything can happen in poker.

I think he would have problems. There are very good players here at the platinum level. Furthermore, Negreanu is used to reading people at the top of the Poker world. Here he would be in unfamiliar territory. He would be a strong candidate to win, but his life would not be easy.

He would be favourite but also pros are affected by variance and bad luck.
For example someone calls with worse and gives you a bad beat

Obvious! Any player with a good understanding of the game will easily win in these tournaments, considering that the technical level of the players is very weak.

Nope. If done did not get the cards he would have no chance at all. You have to get the cards to progress in a MTT.

you've usually gotta both play well and get some luck to win any tournament ( or at a minimum, not get bad luck in the key hands).

You have to win a lot of coinflips and 60-40% situations especially when the blinds go under 20BB. Not much skill in that. So he may have a 10% edge on the field.

Everyone has a chance. Daniel may have more of them, given his status in the poker world and his experience. but this does not mean that he will definitely win, but he will definitely be among the favorites.

I don't think so. Some high level player says that there are so many strange moves during freerolls and it can make the game too unpredictable.

No, not without the cards. The cards dealt outweigh greatly the skill of a player. The fact that you need to win multiple flips means that his edge would be minimal I would think.
