So if I can't have any bluffs (I agree that there aren't many I can have by the river) any bet is going to look like a value bet, and as such is not getting called by worse than AQ, soooooo check and let him bluff and call it off? Or check-fold? Check-folding seems really weak and exploitable especially against this reasonably aggressive player.

K lol, what bluffs could you have here then?

Depends on our image. Not sure how MM plays in these postsions but If you think villian really puts us on like JJ+ AQ+ here nearly always then we're being way to nitty and 3betting far to tight from the blinds.

JT makes a straight, Axdd is the nuts Adx isn't likely to bet, sets and two pairs can sometimes be there buy this is such a tough board to barrel on with air that didn't get there on the river,

Do you think he double floats a 3bet pot to bluff river? His bluff frequency should be really low

I 3bet a LOT wider than JJ+ AQ+ from blinds vs BTN but don't tend to double barrel bluff in 3bet pots without some decent equity. Bluff/semi bluff hands that I might continue with but don't make it by river would be KdQx, KdJx, QdJx, Tx8x, 8x6x, so yeah there are a few bluffs in there :)

I don't understand how we can never be bluffing. Are we really only 3betting, JJ+,AQ+ from the BB vs this player type? If so; it seems bad and we need to definitely widen our 3betting range vs this player so we can represent some strong hands, weaker hands and bluffs as well.

If villain only knows you're 3betting such a tight range, then ok I agree we're rarely bluffing (But I was assuming we're wider than that); but if that's the case I think we're going to get exploited a lot on these flops/turns and for sure have to widen our range.

MM, what is your 3B range in the BB vs this player type?

But this isn't a flop bet, we don't auto barrel out flop range on both streets and make it to a river with everything we 3bet

1)What winrate is good now (2013.07) and considered normal or bad (in cash game NL 6-max)?

3bb/100 - .........
5bb/100 - .........
10bb/100 - .........

NL10-25 - ?
NL50-100 - ?
NL200 - ?

* 6-max

2) How many hands as possible to play to zero due to the variance?

If you play for a long time and do not get any advantage - it is a great burden on the psyche and negatively affect the game.

KK I prefer your b/f I think. If I'm ever x'ing there it's because I think he only bets better so I can x/f.

AJ, I have no ****ing clue what he has but I doubt I'm good enough to fold even if I do. Can he not have QJ and JTs here??

Reasoning behind checking the turn? Are we trying to make his 88-TT comfortable or something? Or just hoping he bluffs his flop floats? I think I prefer betting and getting called by Jx, but dunno. As played good fold OTR imo.

Bet turn. I don't understand why you're checking unless you're balancing and villain is a reg?

1)

3bb/100 - OK/good
5bb/100 - good
10bb/100 - crushing

2)

It's pretty unlikely but it is possible for a 10bb/100 winner to break even over 100,000 hands due to variance. With higher win-rates and/or larger numbers of hands variance has less of an effect.

You aren't running as bad as me Logan, every-time I play I lose 2-4 buy-ins! It's getting ridiculous! I've taken quite a few beats but as well Im finding it difficult to get on tables with any fish, like there may be one or two but they get replaced quickly by regs, maybe I need table ninja but I really don't want to have to pay for it.

The only tables without anyone waiting and player/pot over 20% are full of TAGregs, how do people table select without table ninja it's such a pain to have to constantly shut tables and go to the lobby to put myself on waiting lists, then I get loads of seats available at once and I have no idea which are going to be the best tables to sit at :/

Nh, calling the 4bet is terrible though :)

And what's with the tiny donk bet on the flop?

Been running pretty gross as well, feel like alot of it is bad calls tho, seem to be coming out the other end. I table select moderately well, but that's because I just look for a tagged fish and join. But I also sit or waiting list every deep table and just leave the ones that are bad or when better ones come up. At the end of the day every table should be easily beatable at these stakes

Do you ever start tables MM? I start them all the time. Regs never join them, just randoms looking for a nice game :)

UnNa7uRal, 98s hand was horrible, I hope you're posting it here to show that even when you're on tilt and playing like a donk, you can still get lucky.

Yeah I used to crush it, dont know whats happened :musicus: :(

Feels like there are less fish at 5nl these days but not sure if I'm imagining it, maybe they are all playing Zoom cos of the current Zoom promotion

I've tried sitting at all the tables that pop up but then I end up like 12 tabling for a bit until I close some, which I'm trying to avoid atm.
