On stars? Sort the column by #players (descending) and then you'll see a couple of tables at the top that are empty, double click and sit.

Ah OK, I thought there was something in the drop down menus to do it. I don't see them cos I have filters set to >= 4 players sitting. THanks

No, 6max (of course :))...I have just been only sitting at tables with 4 or more players so I dont have to play short handed.

I'd remove that filter if I was you, the tables soon fill up, and those are the players you want to be sitting with. Give it a go.

You aren't running as bad as me Logan, every-time I play I lose 2-4 buy-ins! It's getting ridiculous! I've taken quite a few beats but as well Im finding it difficult to get on tables with any fish, like there may be one or two but they get replaced quickly by regs, maybe I need table ninja but I really don't want to have to pay for it.

The only tables without anyone waiting and player/pot over 20% are full of TAGregs, how do people table select without table ninja it's such a pain to have to constantly shut tables and go to the lobby to put myself on waiting lists, then I get loads of seats available at once and I have no idea which are going to be the best tables to sit at :/
I have table ninja and was using it for waiting list but was happening exactly that and only using it now for time bank.
Instead using easy seat on Stars and use option session mode, is like having Ninja but instead of use waiting list it use tables that just got a open there (like those that have zero on WL but before can get in someone always beat you) it also use new tables that are filling so a bunch of fish there too, and you can set filters and how many tables want to keep there.

But the secret of table select is color coding, really, used to have the idea that it was not that important but it is. Yes, fish most of the time don´t appear again that often (you got exceptions i got a 42/7 fish taged who is 10 tabling every couples days, have 400 hands on him now). But color coding regs also helps because if every time a table opens see a red or yellow circle on the 3 sits to my right then i know are not fish, just close and let session mode open me another.

Also, i have the idea you was playing 6max MM, 20% vpip?, that is the amount on my filters for FR, wth on those numbers for 6max, don´t supossed all of you switch to 6max because was full of fish?.

oh, and i think TN come with 2 codes, have one in use in my old laptop but i think can be reset and could pass you that one if really want it. just pm me.

On the plus side I'm writing a poker program where you play HU (initially) against the computer. It's pretty fun in a geeky kind of way, so far it deals out the hand, works out what player and computer (hero and villain) have got, and works out who has won the hand at showdown. I already have a bit of code for swapping the turns and updating the stack sizes, just need to add that then I can start giving the computer a brain. As I'm programming it the computer will probably be shit and fairly easy to beat haha :D

Yeah I have nearly all the regs colour coded red and orange so I can avoid tables infested with them, I agree that that does really help.

Yeah I still play 6max but if I set the players/flop to 25% most tables have at least 1 person waiting and if I set to 30% they all have 2+ waiting pretty much.

Thanks for TN offer but if yo only use it for time bank then I dont think its necessary :)

I play NL25, I have a bankroll of 1750 $.
The difference between (NL10, NL16) and NL25 is that people playing more aggresivly they like to play there draws aggresivly. so get ready for some swings

How much % we supossed to hit sets normally? 12 something?.

Was looking on my stats to see something odd on 5nl vs 10nl and stats look similar, but notice flop set% is 6.6 on 10nl vs 13% on 5nl, so guessing little cold on 10nl, still a major review coming..

Cafe, I don't think 89s is a weak hand tbh! If you play only "strong" you will miss the flop 70% of the time. I just can't sit there and wait for pairs innit?

This is why you've got to change things up, start your own tables and stuff, don't just do what all the other regfish are doing! (not calling you a regfish btw lol)

89s is not a bad hand...if you play it in the right circumstances.

Calling a 4bet with 89s is terrible and it's especially terrible because in that hand you only have a 55bb stack. You need good implied odds to play speculative hands like 89s against strong ranges (strong because he 4bet you) and the implied odds are nowhere near good enough here due to your small stack.

It's not so much that you can't play 98s, it's that you shouldn't min-3b and then call a 4b and then 3b-donk when we catch our dream flop.

And MM, I've been doing some poker coding myself - made a variance simulator since ev++ stopped getting maintenance, and thought about doing similar to what you're doing now, haha. But atm trying to focus on playing, so maybe I'll try to do something like that in a while when I have more free time.

Yeah I noticed that ev++ wasn't working anymore. What language did you write yours in? That's a pretty cool project! Might have a go myself! Was just thinking about how you would do that...you wouldn't need to code anything to do with actual cards right? The variance is just simulated by setting the standard deviation isn't it?

Yeah it takes a while to do what I am doing, many hours so far and it's a long way off being finished but it was fun working out how to make it recognise straights and flushes and how to determine who wins when, for example, both players have 3 of a kind or 2-pair and kickers come into it :)

You're right, nothing to do with the cards really, but still a useful exercise. It's not just std dev etc though because I'm adding features, like the biggest downswing (took me a while to figure out an algorithm for it) and longest breakeven (which I've yet to do) and maybe some other stuff like average win-rate over multiple runs or maybe an "instantaneous win-rate" curve or something.

Virtually impossible to lose with villains like this on several of the tables, saw him randomly shoving a few times in a row so figured AQs was good enough

Grats Scourrge.

MM, If you was 12 tabling 5nl ($60) why not move up to 10nl and play only 6 tables? ($60). (when swing over of course).

I 6 tabled 10nl recently and lost a shit load of buy-ins :/ but yeah will try again when the swing is over and the BR permits, only got like $160 atm so not even rolled for 10 anymore, think I had around $390 about a month ago
