Showing cards

Force multiplier. Let's people see that your moves are justified.v if your a good enough player in the right sicumstances. You can bluff when you know that the action may be in yourf to get.

I sometimes show my cards but it is very rare, I show cards only to my players who are familiar or when somewhere we stay in the tournament one on one or three players but it is very rare!

You Have to Pay to See

Like most players on here, I agree to never show your hand, I believe in the old saying "You Have to Pay to See".

Most of the time: NO !!!!
No information is best information.

I only show my cards after having good cards in a row and always open raises makes you looking weak. (My opinion) So this is the only situation i'm showing my cards.

hi there
Nope and never do it
First you show your game for free Nothing to gain
Second i think it a disrespect for the other player
If you are bluffing its bad
If your are winning also is bad
So keep it for you

Hi everyone.

Do you usually show the cards before returning them to the deck? I have read that sometimes it can be a good strategy to put rivals on tilt ...

Leave your comment here with the reasons why you do it (or not).

I do not usually do it because for me it is free information for others ....

Also, regarding the first sentence, it seems disrespectful to others, but hey, don't forget that you are reading a rookie's opinion.

Thank you very much for your attention.

Best regards from Buenos Aires.
I never show my cards as you say thats free information. But i have on occasion if i'm dealt a top pair right when i sit down. But this will be the only time.

Never show you're cards!!! Showing cards gives your opponent information that they can use against you in future hands.

Generally you'd be way better off never showing your cards than occasionally showing them unless you know what you're doing. So I think for most players the auto muck feature should be used

Never, I don't like to give information to my opponents and even less to intensify rivalry at a table.

I never, ever, show my cards. Some folks have said they like to show a bluff that worked but I can't see the advantage in doing that. All you're really doing is showing off and, of course, providing information to the other players. I read one comment about doing it to put a player on tilt. Not sure I would like someone on tilt at my table. If I get a decent hand I'm folding to the angry shove, I would rather have a chance to play the hand.

I sometimes show my cards when I win, so that a player realizes that he dropped correctly.

Rarely, but if the button keeps attacking my blind I will show the 72 and 63 and 25 so he doesn't think I'm a tight ass. Also if I get a rush of hands I may show a few so I don't get shoved in a situation I don't want to get shoved reflow, or checkraise all in with a worse hand on the flop. If u raise reflow 6 hands in a row and bet the flop nobody believes you.
