Guys ive been asked to mediate in a dispute from a local cash game last night, dunno why, i wasnt there but meh, I know most the the players.

Cash game, players busts, has no money, get a loan of €200 from another players stack, (supposed to be a table stakes game, ie the loan should have come from his pocket not his stack). Very next hand player that gave the loan gets stacked, and the other dude wants the extra €200 that he had give as a loan, as it should have been in his stack. Supposedly the stacks were deep. He argued that he had stepped away from the table as the loan happened, no one disputed that.

I rekon that if the loan wasnt questioned as it was happening then it stands, and he does not have to repay the €200 to another player. But meh, shitty situation I know them all well.

In no way should the guy get the extra $200. So what if it "was" in his stack before, its not now, hence it is no longer his money. The worst part is selling chips off the table..... urg.... that should have never happened in this first place.

Cheers guys, I totally agree. Was just off the phone with the dude questioning it, he is being a total ass tbh. Ill print off a few of these replys, and that should settle it. How on earth he can stake a claim to that is beyond me, how could he justify his claim if it was an hour later on in the game for example.

Yea, loaning from the stack is pretty much stupid anyway.

Can someone explain why SPR only works on the flop ?
I mean I get that we calculate it by dividing smallest stack by the total preflop pot. But why doesnt it work on turn if we take the flop pot instead of preflop pot ?
My take on SPR is that it is supposed to help you make a commitment plan on the flop, based on your hand strength and your opponent's tendencies. According to the authors, by the time you get to the turn, if you have put in more than 10% of effective stacks, you should already have a plan of how to commit or how to get to showdown.

Obviously you can calculate what the stack-to-pot ratio is going into the turn, but either the pot is small enough that only a drastic change in your hand strength on the turn will change your commitment plan, or the pot is big enough that your plan should already have been in place.

OK, question for everyone playing 50NL, especially those of you taking shots. How do you get used to the new bet sizing? I'm going to take some shots soon, and I know that will be one of the hard things to get used to. Instinctively knowing what are good sizes for 3-bets, 4-bets, etc.

Any tips on this for moving up?

ok wtf the awesomeness is an xtranormal video but I'm ****ing sick of that site already, spend like 2 hours just trying to enter the text and it takes 5 minutes to update every time you want to make one small change to see how it looks/sounds and original video was too long so we already were having to make it 2 parts so I let part 1 I save then produce over night and in the morning claims it's still producing wtf so I close it and go to my account and it's not there at all under any of the saved videos so I panic but the back button gets me to the video I can now view it and stuff but when I try to save it goes to the screen saying no saved videos that it's just a placeholder. So it won't save, won't produce, but I can view it wtf do I do? Guess I could record it on my screen with camtasia but then I'm never doing an xtranormal video again so ****ing tilting.

Just went to deposit umpiring check, find out that I'm like 2k short of the balance I should have so I go wtf get back in line ask for history apparently the UB cashout like 2 weeks ago got denied, thought I'd gotten it done before that whole thing started but I get home find out that if I did my math right they gave me an extra $200 in my UB account, that should cover the $10 bank charge :). Going to cash it all out again, hopefully it bounces again lol.
