What "trash" hand do you seem to win a lot of pots with?

I honestly try to avoid them because I see them more as traps for me than for others. When they make a flush, we often lose to bigger flushes. When they make two pairs, we find ourselves losing to better two pairs. In short, for me, they are really bad hands, and for me to play them, I only play them if I'm in the big blind and other players limp in, otherwise I don't play.

I like to play 74s its still better than 72 of course but anyway it should be also considered as a trash hand and winning rate is quite high

Generally I don't play trash hands, most of the time I play PLO8 and have lost God knows how many hands with aces to total trash.

We've all seen the advice to just throw away your rag hands such as :7s4::2h4: or :10c4::3d4: and save your chips for a better hand. However, the worst bad beats in tournaments seem to come from players who entered pots with similar "worthless" hands, and wound up cracking your AA and taking all of your chips.

Is there a lucky trash hand that you like to play because it seems to win way more often than it should?
48o for me … lol

For me, it’s got to be 72. The classic trash hand. I don’t know what it is, but every time I decide to play it (usually on a whim), the board just seems to cooperate. It’s almost like the poker gods reward me for the audacity. That or J4—those junky offsuit combos that somehow flop miracles.

For me, it’s usually small suited connectors like 6♠5♠ or 7♦6♦. On paper, they’re considered ‘trash’ because they’re low and don’t have much immediate value, but they surprise opponents when they hit straights, flushes, or even two pair. I think the reason they work is partly psychological—opponents often underestimate them and I’ve learned to play them carefully, reading the table and knowing when to fold or push. It’s a reminder that even hands that seem weak can be powerful if played with patience, strategy, and a bit of creativity

Not sure exactly, but 9 4 or 9 5 has produced good results several times.

Whenever I play with 108 sute I always win the hand, it has a lot of connection and you can bluff with sense, and your cards can fall.

Since I only play freerolls, I usually call with hands considered bad, if I have them in the BB, and the raise amount is as low as 2bb, but I only do this with connected hands or even suited hands.

7♠ 2♣ — you win with it, you remember it. 😄 Some players even have superstitions that their 'lucky hand' is a trash hand — but because they won once with it, they play it more often, thus creating a story around it.

93 oz has already made me a profit several times. Often pre-flop bets and I often hit an FH, so this is my favorite hand. I'll keep my superstitions until things go wrong a lot of times 🤞

I think Doyle Brunson said he probably ended up losing more money playing T2o than he won, even though he won two wsop ME titles with it. So... if there is some trash hand I might think keeps winning for me it probably isn't true. I wish some sites still had the 72 game like UB did back in the day. 5bet shoving and getting a fold plus the bounties from the entire table is probably one of my favorite bluffs I ever ran.

If seeing the flop ist not super expensive I like to try all suited cards. Often there comes a flush draw that gives opportunity for a bigger bet pre turn, so players with small pairs or missed flops fold.

Q9 just folded and I got a straight. I could have made a nice stack.

I won a BB special with a 32o actually turning into a Full House on the river at a live MTT earlier this year.

Nice one Bill.

It is funny how winning with so-called trash hands always seems better live. Well done on the win though (y)
