I can't stop, I think I need help, i'm not even rolled for this anymore haha, I love it hard.

LOL.. it's the crack of poker I am telling ya. After the great run I had yesterday it seems too good to be true. I think alot of people who normaly don't play cash games are trying Rush out. Which probably makes the games softer. People will probably develop strategies and what they^^^^ said about KK<<AA set over set. I see smething like that developing. But I am gonna enjoy the money while it's still coming in and take advantage of it for as long as I can.

What I like about the game is that you can quick fold and move on.

My biggest problem with poker (live or online) is that it's boring if you're just playing 1 table, or even 2 tables. There's no chance to get bored on rush poker.

What I don't like is that my variance is on a severe downswing. I can't even tell you the number of times I've been rivered since this began. That's got to change soon though.

Yeah rathole for sure. I have been leaving and rejoining everytime I make ~ 100bbs, as I don't think I am very good at deep stack poker. I used to make 2-3x max buyin at regular poker and end up getting stacked if did not leave alot of times. I have played without leaving a few times, and it is fun also tho. But i just keep auto top up selected and rebuys @ 100bb. Seems to be working but variance is catching up to me today, yesterday was just unbelievable.

Sorry for you. And please don't deposit any money you may actually need for your life outside poker.

At the same, if your reaction is typical of what happens when people bust their rolls at crack poker, this is wonderful news ... :D

^^^ Pretty much this, I've busted a shedload of my roll which I only just got to a decent playable level, -16 BI at NL10 rush has put me back to pretty much where I was before my big daily dollar cash sunday night :(.

Seven of those buy ins work out as my rake paid... and I have no rakeback on FT lol.

Holy CRAP.

One of two things. You just experienced ultra awful variance in a little faster than real time. Or you are doing something wrong.

I'm only 19 (birthday today wooo) so I don't really NEED money for outside of poker haha. 80 quid a month gets me food and a bed off of my parents so i'm fine, but thanks for the concern :). It was fun though a little silly I guess :)
Ima deposit next week or something I think, but no more crack unless i'm properly rolled lol. I hope everyone feels like this when they bust, it would be a beautiful thing.

Anyways i'm off to the pub with friends to get smashed :)

Well the hands you posted were kinda wacky. Raising from MP with Q4s and maybe even the A8 hand are a little crazy when the whole point of RP is you can fold as fast as you can click buttons. Have you tried the "quick fold" button? ;)

I have but I think I got a bit too high. I was stealing with the Q4 lol, just an awesome flop against his obvious over pair (the play is seriously obvious sometimes). I think the A8 was super standard on the button, no?
I went broke cause I had 5 buy-ins haha but I enjoyed it.

One of two things. You just experienced ultra awful variance in a little faster than real time. Or you are doing something wrong.

I'll be pretty honest a mix of the two, I had a bad second session on Rush experimenting trying a lot of cbet and 4b pre flop resteals vs sb and bb 3bets which didn't quite work out. Since I have played tight standard ABC for the most part.

A lot of it is variance, just under 5k hands total, my final two sessions I was running 18% VPIP in 6max, normally ~22-25 in standard 6max games (I'm a break even std 6max player) - alot nittier having overpairs run into sets - KK vs AA, twice played AK for stacks ran into AQ and A3o  chips in pre flop and the worse kicker hit...

To be fair also I continued to play after not being properly rolled for it (which was after my second session), I just convinced myself (wrongly) that I should be able to do ok whilst Rush was new playing ABC. Am rather annoyed at myself that I tilted on RUSH, I have had major downswings on Entraction Network (17 BI below EV still played solid and dropped stake accordingly) in the past 6 months and have been able to keep my head - not this time, the last 3 buy ins I blew in FR and can't deny I wasn't steaming :(

People who claim that rush poker isn't real poker are missing the point that online poker isn't real poker either. Real poker is sitting around a table with live people fumbling with cards and chips.

Or so some might say. What is "real poker" anyway? Who's to say?

The questions for me are:

(1) Is it fun? (Yep, I had a blast.)
(2) Can it make money? (Yes, I made money faster than I ever have.)

Will it continue that way? Who knows? Maybe it's too good to be true. But I intend to let it play out instead of scoffing at innovation.

Manufacturers of horse-drawn carriages famously scoffed at automobiles when they first appeared. "They'll be gone in a few years! Har!!," they crowed.

I can see rush appealing to and fitting some personalities better than others. But if it gives you and your game an edge, you'd be foolish not to take it.

Very well said.

I was thinking the same exact thing. You took the words right out of my mouth, lol.

So you can click 'sit out' if you were in a hand but folded, to stick around to see the hand play out?? Hmm.... kinda wanted to do this when I actually folded KK preflop one hand (yah.. I folded KK... all 3 players in hand were min. 200bb's deep, I 4bet pre and another guy shoved over & then the other called.... click 'fold'...sigh.. (would've liked to have seen the showdown then)

Folder's remorse does no good at all on Full Tilt. They use a constant shuffle after the player cards are dealt from the original deck. If the board had been KKx.. it would NOT have been KKx had you made a bet or stayed in the hand.

These are not set decks or live poker. Only Pokerstars (afaik) has a 52-card pre-set deck before the first card is dealt.

Interesting, I never knew that. Then the whole "rabbit card" thing at U.B is a waste of time? Would that also mean that depending on the amount of time it takes someone to call, fold, raise, etc...will also affect the outcome of the cards dealt?

It's too bad you can't observe any of the action. Seems to be full of pros the last few days.
