Underdog’s prediction markets are branded “Underdog Predict” within the larger app. They allow you to buy and sell contracts tied to specific outcomes. Here are the key tenets of how it all works.
What Markets Can You Trade on Underdog Predict?
Underdog is staying true to its roots and sticking to sports markets with its prediction platforms. As such, the markets you’ll find at Underdog Predict are sports-heavy. Here are the main types you’ll see. Notice that they are similar in name for sports bets, but they still function as prediction markets.
- Winner: Trade on the winner of a given game or match.
- Spreads: Buy contracts on whether a team will cover the spread.
- Totals: Trade on the total score of a game (both teams combined) going over or under a certain threshold.
- Futures: Underdog Predict offers futures-based contracts such as the NBA Championship winner or Super Bowl winner.
Underdog Predict currently offers markets for NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, CFB, soccer, and tennis, with plans to add more leagues and sports in the future.
Additionally, two states have separate options. In Idaho and Maine, Underdog is a prediction market only (no fantasy pick ‘em), and it offers:
- Rushing yards
- Passing yards
- Receiving yards
- Anytime touchdown
- Multiple touchdowns
