I don`t think this is cheating!It`s your own mistake to protect your hand from other players on the table!And Yes i`ll continue to lock his cards!

I would tell everyone at the table that I can clearly look his hand. When everyone notice that and everyone will want to see it as well, then the agreessive cash player will probably start to hide it.
If he continues to not hide it, then I will look his cards for sure!

When I was a teenager I used to play a lot of poker with friends.
I started wearing reading specs around that time. Most of the time it was draw poker. Many years later my brother said that they always knew what I had becuse they saw my cards reflected in my spectacles.
Guess they were just taking advantage of the information available.
Fortunately we played dealers choice and I always changed the game to Red Dog, Slippery Sam or Hearts.
I guess you must protect your cards and if you somehow reveal them, people will exploit that.

Since I have already quietly pointed this out to him and he continues to do so afterwards and gives me the opportunity to see his cards, I would accept the advantage that this gives me. Even though it might be immoral towards the other players at the table, but the cash game is about money and I am selfish and would use every little advantage in my favour.

I don't think it's cheating because the action is coming from the other player and I'm not actively doing anything to gain an advantage. If it were cheating, I would have to do something deliberately in order to win.

I really don't know what I would do because I've never been in that situation, but I think I would look because even the player himself doesn't care, it's different if it's a player who is trying to hide the game, but if he doesn't care about showing his cards so it's more information for me about this player and it's not because I'm watching his game that I'm going to play every hand he plays because there's not just me and him at the table

As others have said, "It is the responsibility of each player to protect their hand."

Why would the player just laugh and tell me to worry about something else?

Is the player trying to prevent me from studying him when he looks at his cards?

So.....I would keep looking around the table as I normally do.

No - it is not cheating if the player continues to show me his cards.

But careful - how many times were you sure you saw paint or a suit and it wasn't correct?

I shouldn't as it is unethical, but after already trying to be the "better person" and give him a "heads-up' yet he's still showing, it would then become a situation of "if you don't care I can't care for you". At this point, I'm looking for my benefit until he learns his lesson. Pretty sure if he busts he'll learn his lesson.

In this case I would advise him to protect his hand better and I would try to focus on my cards, and not look at his, and I don't think it's fair to keep looking at his cards since there are several opponents involved in the game, him showing his cards doesn't hurt just him and other opponents because whoever is watching will have more information! and yes it is a form of cheating in my opinion!

It's absolutely a form of cheating, but in this situation I think it's not wrong, since you warned him a few times and he didn't mind changing things, whenever I get the chance to see his cards I will definitely look, At a real money poker tournament table, all information is valid even if it comes from the carelessness of some players, after all who doesn't want to win a real money tournament?

i do not think it is unethical or scam to look at other player's hand , if you dont do this on purpose , if he doesnt hide his hand , why is is your concern i do not get it . if he is silly and keeps on not protecting his hand , then he should be punished for this , better way to punish him by taking his money i cannot think . ofcourse if he is a whale and he is freerolling very lower stakes for fun the losses wont stop him from doing this .

i mean if he shows that he has AA , you see this because he didnt hide his hand , what should you do ?? pretend that you didnt see the hole cards , play as if you didnt know what he has ?? call and lose ?? ofcourse no.

Now if he keeps on doing , despite your warnings , well if you look again and see his cards i do not think it is a crime , he is stupid , he is the one to blame . so..........

you have to protect your hand from anyone else seeing it, there is no issue with someone not protecting their hole cards, so look at them as much as you can, because all is fair in love an war

In this case, the institution's rules are not specified. Maybe a person wants to cause a conflict, because of which you can lose the game. If it was allowed, I would look)

on a cash game table, all players are playing for the money, obviously.
the onus of protecting the hole cards is on the player.
if the player is showing the cards even after being warned, i will happily keep watching.
in fact, in realty i have done that at the live tables myself.
its not cheating, because i am not the one trying to peer at my opponents cards.
so no dilemma for me. i am happy with the looking.

I would be downright dishonest if I said I could resist looking at the cards. I would probably warn him, especially if it was a game with friends. But if he gave an answer like that, patience. As he said, I would take care of my game and get as many chips out of him as possible.

1) this is your opponent and your task is to outplay your opponent.
2) your task is to hide your cards, his task is identical

I think a lot depends on the person. Knowing myself, I will warn him to better hide his cards. if he continues to flash his cards, I'll just stop looking there. This is not a fair or interesting game at all if you know your opponent's cards.

I would remind him once again clearly if it happens again. By doing so also other players can „understand“ the problem and the dilemma he is creating for me.

I would certainly look at the cards. I mean at poker tables we try to take any advantage or read from the villains. This is certainly the most obvious and clear read. Others could probably also participate from my „read“ so that the villain can also not play properly anymore. This maybe solve the problem for good and he starts to keep his cards for himself afterwards

Looking at the cards is not considered cheating, but it's immoral, I would not keep doing that, and even keep warning him about what's happening, and of course I'd never watch his hands, that would be unfair for the gaming

I had this with players before.

First i will tell the player to protect his cards, i will look away when he is looking at his cards.

If he still is not protecting his cards i will tell the dealer or floorman, they will take action and tell this to the player.

Most times the player is very happy with me that i am so honest, i dot not like to win by cheating in any way.

It is the card holders responsibility to protect their cards at the end of the day. That's why we cover them up when viewing them right?

That being said, I think most of us are too honest and polite, we'd make them aware and be honest to show we are not deliberately angle shooting but if they were to then act recklessly once they've been made aware, that that is completely on them.

Poker is a game of strategy and edge, if someone is willing to show you their cards to put you in a stronger position, more fool them.

Is it cheating? No. Is it gamesmanship? Yes but to a point of no, if you've informed them and they carry on to do it.
